Note 5 Black Screen With Blue LED Light After Drop

Problem: To whom it may concern,  I own a samsung galaxy note 5 and i recently fell off my bike and on my phone 2 days ago. Since then my samsung has a blue light on and I have tried rebooting it and restarting it (pressing volume down and on button) but this has failed. I went to a technician (who owns a samsung but not a samsung store) and he says that I should order a Galaxy Note 5 LCD Screen and Digitizer and he could fix it for me as this is hard to find in Europe. However, I am a bit hesitant to buy this without guarantee of it being fixed. Does this blue light and black screen is that only damage of LCD screen or could it also be something else? Basically, my question is it worth me investing on this?

Solution: If you are still able to hear notification sounds on the phone such as incoming text messages or calls then it’s very likely that the only defective component is the screen assembly. If however the phone is not getting any notifications then there’s a possibility that some other component has also been damaged aside from the screen assembly.

Note 5 Stuck In Downloading Mode

Problem: I was trying to clear the cache and went through the first steps of holding down the 3 buttons. the phone now shows the android icon and says downloading do not turn off target. My phone is the Samsung Note 5. I never got the screen to scroll to delete cache, there is some very small text at the top left

ODIN MODE

CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official

SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL

REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF

secure download : Enabled

KNOX WARRANTY VOID:  0

AP SWREV: 2

It has been showing this screen for an hour. What can I do to get the phone back in regular mode?

HELP!

Solution: To fix this problem just press and hold on the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this and should be out of downloading mode.

Note 5 Constantly Restarting On Android Nougat

Problem: I get update for nougat 7 on my note 5 n920p sprint verizon, i try to install but, after that phone constantly restart, now i running marshmallow 6.0.1.The phone i buy in Dubai, now im in Ireland and i get again update for nougat 7

Solution: Try installing the update again in your phone. Once the installation is done backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will erase any traces of old software data in your phone which might be causing the device to restart constantly.

Note 5 Sears WinIt App Not Connecting To Internet

Problem: Hi~ I hope you can help.  I am not in the least a techie, please bear with me.   My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.  I am on Straight Talk on AT&T towers.   I have & use the Sears WinIt app.  Suddenly the Xtra section of the app now gives me an “Uh-Oh! Slow or no internet connection.  Please check your connection & try again.”  Occasionally it gives “Webpage Unavailable” as well.  *How is this possible when the rest of the app works fine?  Obviously I have a good internet connection if it works?*  This is the only app I am having trouble with…aside from the occasional “Unfortunately Facebook has stopped working” or the same for Words with Friends.  I have checked by turning off wifi~ un & reinstalling; using avast clean; clearing app cache, data, & force closing.  There are no available updates for either Google or the app, I have been checking several times daily.  My internet connection via Wifi says strong/very strong. (I have 2 available wifi connections here at home.)   Is this an app problem, or a phone/internet connection problem?  If a phone/internet problem, how do I fix it  (without losing all my pics, etc.)  I appreciate any help you can give  (in non-techie language if possible, please Thank you

Solution: If your phone has a strong internet connection and the other apps have no problem getting online then this issue is most likely caused by a problem with the Sears WinIt app. If you have already uninstalled this app and installed a fresh version from the Google Play Store yet the issue persists then you will need to contact the app developer regarding this problem so that they can release an update to fix this bug.

Note 5 Not Receiving Calls

Problem: I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on Net10. My problem is that my phone sometimes does not receive calls, the only way I’ll know I’ve missed one is that there’s a new voicemail HOWEVER sometimes that voicemail is blank. By blank I mean silent, I can listen to the end of the message with the volume blasting and the mute OFF and there’s no voice. I can get the header info from the message to find out where it came from and call back and I’ve confirmed they did indeed talk on that voicemail. This doesn’t happen all the time or even at the same time. Sometimes the phone won’t receive the call and the voicemail will work, sometimes the voicemail won’t work even if the call went through. This is all happening when I have full bars of service. I restart the phone daily and sometimes the phantom voicemail notification from a call that bounced doesn’t show up until the restart. I factory reset the phone to see if that would help. It did not. I’ve talked to Net10 technical support twice about my issue and they have told me that everything on their end checks out. They say it must be a problem with the physical phone. I’ve been trying to search the internet for solutions and cannot find anything that applies. Maybe I’m not asking the right questions? I hope you can help or point me towards it. Thank you.

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still persists then there’s a possibility that this is already caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
