J3 Keeps Disconnecting From Wi-Fi

Problem: My phone keeps disconnecting from my home wifi. I have troubleshooted my internet and it works perfectly fine. Every other device in my home connects perfectly to my wifi. I turn off and on the Wi-Fi on my phone to try and connect to my Wi-Fi. It connects for like a minute then it disconnects. It must be a problem with my phone. Please help.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to forget the Wi-Fi network from your phone. Once this is done restart the phone then connect to the network again. In case the issue still persists then proceed with the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode then restart the device.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

J3 Is On But Screen Is Black

Problem: I have a samsung galaxy J3 the phone is on but the screen is black i have tried taking battery out and holding on button for 1 min and 2 min and 3 min and so on at different times and putting battery in and trying to press for the screen to work and other things that has been said to do but nothing seems to be working please can you help

Related Problem: phone vibrates like its turning on but just get black screen i can hear messages coming through on phone and even receive phone calls but cant see nothing i have done all the reset and tiil having nothing on my screen

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem could be caused by software glitch. You will then need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case the screen still remains black even in recovery mode then there’s a possibility that it is already damaged and may need to be replaced. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

  • Tap Messages.
  • Tap MORE.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap More settings.
  • Tap Text messages.
  • Tap Message centre.

If the message center number is correct then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Restart your phone then check if you can now send a text message.
  • Contact your carrier and inquire if your have an active text messaging subscription
  • Check if the problem occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the issue could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

J3 Stopped Receiving Photos In Messages

Problem: Hello friends.  Two days ago, my Samsung Galaxy J3  stopped receiving photos via messenger.  I have gone online and followed every direction, to no avail.    One thing of note is that I did reset the APN to default, so none is indicated.   Could you help me with this problem please?

Solution: The reason why your phone can’t receive picture messages is because the APN settings have been reset. You need to get the correct APN settings of your carrier then input it in your phone.

To access the APN settings of your device follow the steps listed below.

  • From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  • Tap Settings > Connections.
  • Tap Mobile networks.
  • Tap Access Point Names.

J3 Not Getting Software Update

Problem: Hello, My samsung galaxy j3  is not updating and showing firmware version failed to install also when i open secure folder it popup message that unauthorized software is installed on device and other one issue is that secrets codes is not working not a single code even *#06# Please help me to resolve this issue Thanks

Solution: The reason why your phone is not getting any software update is because it might be rooted or running on a custom software version. The best thing to do right now if you want your phone to run on the latest software update is to flash the latest stock firmware file to your phone. You can get this file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.

J3 Screen Is Unresponsive After Getting Wet

Problem: My samsung j3 got a teeny bit of moisture in it and the screen was unresponsive. Suggestions to reset to factory default. I did this and now I’m stuck on the android system update screen. It updates for a few minutes and the freezes. I’ve left it for an hour with no change. I’ve tried the things suggested on your page, no luck. My guess is that I should have let it dry out some more and the screen would have worked, too impatient for that. Any help? Thanks

Solution: What you will want to do right now is to make sure that the phone’s internal is free from moisture. Place your phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done check if the issue gets fixed. If it doesn’t then some component inside the phone might be water damaged. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Has Green Glow On Screen After Dropping In Water

Problem: Dropped it in the water with flashlight on. Couldn’t get it to turn off for a while. Couple days drying in quaker oats with back off, batt and sim card out. All ok except when it’s sleeping: click the power/lock button and screen goes black like it should, but then starts a dim green glow, looks like a full screen picture of green woven fabric. Tried several things: soak in alcohol, remove circuit board and clean all contacts with a tiny brush and alcohol, soft resets, factory wipe resets, disassemble and clean again, resets again…. The “green glow” runs the battery down. I just noticed another aspect: when power-off the screen is black as it should be, except when plugged into the charger; then also has the faint green screen that looks like fabric

Solution: Unfortunately in this case it looks like the water might have affected the way the display works. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. There’s a possibility that you will need to have the display assembly replaced.

J3 Stuck In Samsung Logo

Problem: my phone randomly restarted by itself after my daughter slobbering on it. It worked for the rest of the night until it restarted again, but this time when it restarted it wouldn’t go any further than the back screen with white SAMSUNG logo. after that appears for a minute it goes away and vibrates, but after that it goes right back to the logo and vibrates again. It will do it over and over unless i take the battery out. i’ve tried all troubleshooting options and the battery doesn’t have any water damage.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. This way you will be able to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Take note that this procedure will erase your phone data.

In case the issue persists even after the reset then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely a hardware related problem already.
