You should bring the device back to the shop or store if that’s the case.

But if you simply found the phone to be unresponsive, then there’s something you can do to try and make it respond again. In will share with you a couple of solutions that were proven effective in fixing issues like this so continue reading as this article may be able to help you one way or another.

Now, going back to our troubleshooting, here’s what you should do about this problem…

Solution 1: Perform the Forced Reboot procedure

It is a simulated battery removal and if the problem is caused by a firmware crash, then this is the only thing you must do to make your phone respond again. Any Android phone with non-removable batteries will respond to this procedure. This is how it’s done on your Pocophone F1:

  • Press and hold the power key and volume down button for 15 seconds or more.

If your phone boots up, then problem solved but if not, try doing the same procedure a few more times. If it’s still unresponsive after that, then try this…

  1. Press and hold the volume down button first and don’t let go.
  2. Press and hold the power key while holding down the volume down button.
  3. Keep both keys held down for 15 seconds or more.

If it’s still not responding after doing this, then try the next procedure.

Solution 2: Charge your phone and perform the Forced Reboot

Having a drained battery isn’t really a problem because most of the time any smartphone would respond when they’re connected to their chargers. However, there are times when a drained battery will lead to a firmware crash and if that happens, you would already be dealing with a couple of minor issues that both result to an unresponsive device. Thus, here’s what you should do about it…

  1. Connect your phone to its charger and make sure the charger is plugged into a working wall outlet.
  2. Regardless whether the phone charges or not, leave it connected to the charger for 10 minutes or so.
  3. Now, press and hold the volume down button and the power key simultaneously for 15 seconds or more.

Assuming the problem was due to a firmware crash caused by a drained battery, your Xiaomi Pocophone F1 should already be booting up by now. But if it’s still unresponsive, then it could be a hardware problem. You should bring it back to the store so a technician can check it up for you.
