How To Fix The Samsung Galaxy A10e Black Screen of Death Issue

The Black Screen of Death is a term given to a device whose screen does not display anything at all. The phone might still be getting notifications when this issue occurs or it might not be working at all. While thereā€™s a big possibility that this is caused by a faulty hardware component thereā€™s also a chance that this could just be caused by a software glitch. What we will be doing right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix the problem.

Make sure the phone is fully charged

The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a drained battery. You will need to charge the phone by following the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in it.
  • Fully charge the phone with a charging cord and wall charger that have been tested to work on another device.
  • If the phone does not charge with a wall charger then try charging the device from a computer USB port.

Start the phone in Safe Mode

  • Turn the device off.
  • Press and hold the Power key past the screen with the device name.
  • When ‘SAMSUNG’ appears on the screen, release the Power key.

If the issue does not occur in this mode it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
