A3 Screen Is Unresponsive After Getting Wet

Problem: Samsung A3 got wet. Dried it out in water and everything is good except that the touch screen will not respond. Tried soft reset and factory reset but it did not fix the problem. phone responds to buttons but not to touch screen.

Related Problem: I have a samsung galaxy A3 2017. The other day it was really rainy so my phone got a bit wet, but not ridiculous amounts, and it was in a case and covered with a screen protector (both of which I promptly removed once inside to dry off the phone). Since then the touchscreen has gone really strange, either not being responsive or responding to random areas on the screen when I’m not touching it. I got a screen replacement about a month ago, but from a reputable store.

Solution: It looks like the display has been damaged by its contact with water. You can do one troubleshooting step on this device to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Just start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset then restart the phone. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. Make sure that the screen is dry when you test if it works.

In case the above step fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s very likely that you will need to have the display assembly of the phone replaced.

A3 Screen Is Black

Problem: A while back my phone screen started going black around the edges then just began spreading until the entire screen is now black. I’ve tried all the different diy things I can think of, safe mode, reset, recovery mode but the screen never shows anything but black. The recent windows and back button illuminate but nothing on screen any ideas or advice? Not sure how much it costs to fix it, I bought it outright no plan. Not sure what version.

Solution: If the problem still occurs even in recovery mode then this is already caused by a faulty hardware component possibly by a display assembly that is not working properly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

A3 Random Lines Appear On Screen

Problem: I have recently purchased A3. MY issue with device is bit strange..I have been using it very carefully and taking care of it at very best I have never dropped it nor the screen is pressed in an unlikely manner but still there are some random lines popping on screen there are nearly invisible unless I max the brightness It’s sort of pixels break but not completely like a spot but there is something which I am concerned about Please help what’s the issue?

Solution: Try checking if this issue is caused by an app you downloaded in your phone by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it’s likely that it is caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem occurs even in Safe Mode then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you can check if a software glitch is causing the problem. Do not install any apps in your phone after the reset. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to have this checked at a service center.
