If you’re trying to select one email message only, here’s how it’s done.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Email app.
  3. While on the appropriate Inbox, tap More icon.
  4. Tap Edit located at the upper-right corner of the screen. (If you want to switch email accounts, just tap the Menu icon at the upper right and select the email address.)
  5. Select the message you want to delete.
  6. Tap Delete located at the lower-right corner.
  7. To confirm, tap Delete.
