How to fix your Samsung Galaxy A8 2019 that’s now running so slow (easy steps)

How to fix your Galaxy A8 2018 that became so slow

Don’t worry too much because sluggishness and other performance are pretty minor problems and thus, can easily be fixed. Below are some of the methods that are very effective in fixing this problem…

First solution: Uninstall apps that you think are causing the problem

You can only do this if the problem started after you’ve installed an app because obviously, the problem is with the third-party app. I am pretty sure that doing this method will fix the problem…

1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
2. Tap Settings > Apps.
3. Tap the desired application in the default list or tap 3 dots icon > Show system apps to display preinstalled apps.
4. Tap the desired application.
5. Tap Uninstall.
6. Tap Uninstall again to confirm.

Second solution: Wipe cache partition

If the problem started after an update, then it’s possible that some caches have been corrupted or became obsolete. Delete all system caches so that they will be replaced with new ones and you can do so by wiping the cache partition:

1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
3. When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key.
4. When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
5. Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’.
6. Press the Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Your phone may take a little longer to reboot but after it becomes active, try to see if it still runs so slow. After this and the phone is still so slow, the next method has to be done.

Third solution: Backup your files and reset your phone

This is the ultimate solution to problems like this but you have to go through the hassle of backing up your files and data as they will be deleted during the problem. After the backup, make sure that you disable the Factory Reset Protection so that you won’t be locked out of your device after the reset.

1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps style=”font-weight: 400;”> tray.
2. Tap Settings > Cloud and accounts.
3. Tap Accounts.
4. Tap Google.
5. Tap on your Google ID email address if multiple accounts are setup. If you have multiple accounts setup, you will need to repeat these steps for each account.
6. Tap 3 dot icon.
7. Tap Remove account.
8. Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT.

After this, follow these steps to do the Master Reset…

1. Back up data on the internal memory. If you have signed into a Google account on the device, you have activated Anti-theft and will need your Google credentials to finish the Master reset.
2. Turn off the device.
3. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
4. When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
5. When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
6. Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
7. Press Power button to select.
8. Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
9. Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
10. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
11. Press the Power key to restart the device.
