J7 Screen Has Green Line

Problem: Hi i have a thin green line on my samsung galaxy J7 and i tried to turn  off the phone for a few minutes but it is still there. I also took a screenshot and the green line is still there in the screenshot. Do i have to bring it to a shop? Do i need to fix the screen?

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this you have to start the phone in Safe Mode since only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run when the phone is started in this mode. If the green line is not present in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the green line is still present even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will allow you to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then the display might be faulty. You will need to have this checked and possibly replaced at a service center.

J7 Screen Is Cracked But Touch Is Still Working

Problem: Hi,  Phone fell and screen is cracked different places, phone comes on but screen flickers and is very dim so sometimes you can’t see anything at all only colors.  The touch however does not seems to be damaged because the touch works on every part of the phone. So what would need to be changed here? Is it just the LCD screen since the touch is working fine or the LCD and the digitizer or something else?

Solution: The LCD of the phone is damaged but since the digitizer is fused to the LCD then you will need to have the whole display assembly replaced. Your best option is to bring the phone to a service center so that it can be repaired.

J7 Screen Flickers

Problem: So i have a samsung galaxy J7 and whenever the powers low or fully charged it flickers but it doesn’t stop it if in between anyway i notice that when i put my phone in safe mode no flickering occurs so it must be one of my installed apps and also when i update all my apps no flickering occurs and have undownloaded apps and it works but dont know the exact one. I am looking for a permanent solution for this. Also my homescreen sometimes has ads…i know weird but anyway i think it is one of the apps i have and need clarification.

Solution: It looks like one of the apps you downloaded is causing the problem. Since you are also getting ads on the home screen of your phone then the best way to fix this problem is to do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

J7 Screen Is Black But Phone Is Still Working

Problem: Well my galaxy J7 was working perfectly…about 4 months old, never fell or anything because it’s sparsely used. My mom is using it and she isn’t a tech geek like i am. So she uses the cellphone very basic, accepting calls, a little net surfing just the usual but as i said sparingly. So it’s a really new phone. She was using it the other night and place it down for a while to do something and when she took it back up the screen was not coming on. I inspected the cellphone and its on and making sounds and everything but the screen is just black and not coming on. I tried soft resets and its still not coming on but the phone is on. could you tell me what’s the issue

Related Problem: Previously before this happened my phone was cracked very badly but it still worked just fine. but then i accidentally put my phone in my back pocket and then i sat on it. when i pulled it out the bottom part of my screen was black but the top part was kind of green and striped. but my phone still works perfectly i see the lights and i still gives off vibrations. i left it overnight and now the whole screen is black but the phone still turns on and i still get the lights and the vibrations i just can’t see anything. i have watched every youtube video known to man and nothing seems to help. does that mean i have to replace it? PLEASE HELP!

Solution: The best thing you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode and if the screen works in this mode do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the screen still does not work even in recovery mode then it’s likely that the display is damaged. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
