J7 Keeps On Restarting After Getting Wet

Problem: Hi I have a Samsung galaxy J7, it got dropped into water a week ago from which it seemed to recover fine. I took out all I could let it dry used a little wd40 to help disperse water and left it for 36-48 hrs. Since then it has worked fine. Unfortunately today after having worked fine all week and half the day it suddenly kept restarting. The screen would go black- galaxy J7 screen comes up followed by Samsung reveal page, then it does the same all over again and never boots up properly. Can you help at all? Thanks regardless – You have a great webpage. P.S. Not sure which android version I’m using. when I have tried to boot it to recovery mode it has a page showing “initialising system update” then shows a bot on it’s back saying “No Command” Next pg is android recovery offering reboot sys/ reboot to bootloader/ apply update from ADB/ apply update from sd card/ wipe data -slash- factory reset/ wipe cache partition/ mount sys/ view recovery logs/ power off

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset.

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
  • Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
  • Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  • When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

If the problem still persists then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Sensors Stopped Working

Problem: Hi, I use a samsung galaxy J7. Couple of days back all the sensors on my phone failed except for the fingerprint sensor. I keep updating the software as and when it comes on my notifications. My phone runs on android Nougat. I have currently given my phone at the samsung authorised service centre as it is in warranty. They took my phone and ran the diagnostics and the fingerprint sensor failed too. They said that they will replace the motherboard for which they asked me to take a back up of my phone and I did the same. They said they can’t replace the phone. My question here is should I keep the phone after the motherboard change ? Will I still have the original feel? Or should I upgrade to another device? Kindly advise.nd the same thing is happening. Please help to fix this issue and figure out what’s wrong with my device.

Solution: Your phone will work normally when the defective motherboard is going to be replaced. If this will fix the problem then it’s best to use this device. If you have plans of upgrading your phone then it would be best not to have the J7 fixed as you won’t be using it anymore.

J7 Stuck In Android Is Optimizing Screen

Problem: I have a j7 … the screen is stuck at android is optimizing. It has to optimize till 285 and phone turns off at 230 and restarts. I am trying to do a reset by pressing power and volume up but it is not responding to the command. Please help!

Solution: What you should do in this case is to do a soft reset first. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the issue still occurs after this then proceed with wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode then check again if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should do a factory reset in recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
