Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Problems, Errors, Fixes and Solutions

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Mobile Hotspot Problems

Almost all of carriers in the United States are offering mobile hotspot subscription to their customers and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is one of the devices that could cater such functionality. With it, users can share their internet connection to their other devices. However, errors often occur when the tablet is turned into a mobile hotspot device. Here are the things users can do to solve mobile hotspot-related issues.

Setting Up A Mobile Hotspot

The first thing you should do is to verify you have already setup a mobile hotspot. For those who are wondering how, here are the procedures:

  1. From the Home screen, tap on All Apps icon located in the right-most corner of your screen and launch Settings app.
  2. Choose Wireless & Networks.
  3. Find and choose Tethering & Portable Hotspot.
  4. Put a check mark on the box beside Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  5. You can now see the Tethering or Hotspot Active status icon.

Once a mobile hotspot has already been setup, try to connect your other devices with the network and see if you can browse the web with it.

If there is no connection, try to do a soft reset:

  1. From the Home screen, press and hold the Power button.
  2. Release the button once the screen turns off.
  3. Wait for your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to reboot.
  4. Check if the hotspot is turned on and try to reconnect.

If the problem persists and you’ve verified you are receiving a good signal from your network and that you can browse the web using you Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which you want to use to share connection with other device, perform a Factory Reset. But you’ll have to backup everything in it before you do so.

Re-setup mobile hotspot after the factory reset.
