LG V60 ThinQ Leaks out in Official Renders Ahead of Launch
- The press renders give us a very good glimpse of the smartphone while also revealing a handful of its hardware attributes.
- The V60 ThinQ is expected to be available in a 5G variant.
- LG has pulled out of the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona, suggesting that the V60 ThinQ will be announced at a private LG event.
With LG launching the V50 ThinQ 5G last year, the rumor mill has discussed the possibility of the company unveiling the LG V60 ThinQ this year. Well, it seems like the day is not too far away with official press renders of the smartphone leaking out today. In addition to giving us a good idea about its design attributes, the leak also details the hardware of the smartphone.
To start with, the renders reveal a quad-camera arrangement on the back, while its features are still unknown. Further, LG is touting the addition of 4ch microphones for high-quality audio recording capabilities and it’s also expected to be useful during calls. The feature that is likely to impress a lot of users is the addition of a 5,000 mAh battery, which means this could be a pretty bulky smartphone as well.
Unfortunately, this is all we can tell from these new renders, although we’re hoping to learn more over the coming days. LG has announced that it will skip MWC 2020 in Barcelona later this month over concerns with the rapidly spreading coronavirus. However, the South Korean manufacturer is expected to host its own event for the launch of this 2020 flagship. It goes without saying that LG will also offer a 5G variant of the smartphone.
A rumor from earlier this month revealed that the LG G9 was also in the making, revealing a quad-camera setup on the back. While we haven’t heard much on that front since then, it is believed that LG may launch both phones almost at the same time like it did last year with the LG V50 ThinQ and the LG G8 ThinQ.
