Huawei Shows off Low-Light Images Captured with the Honor 9X Pro

Although Huawei has been facing an up and down battle over the past several months over tensions between the U.S. and Chinese governments, the company continues to churn out new phone that break the conventional norms. Its latest offering, the Honor 9X and the 9X Pro, have been teased multiple times on social media sites across China.

The company is now offering some very first photos taken from the triple-camera toting Honor 9X Pro and we must say, the pictures look very impressive. These pictures are focused on low-light subjects, which is an area where several mobile cameras don’t shine. As you can see, the images perfectly illustrate how the camera can capture light even in dimly lit environments. However, we would like to check out more samples before jumping to a conclusion.

These pictures bear the watermarks of the Honor 9X Pro, though it’s unlikely that these capabilities are limited to the Pro version. Both versions of the Honor 9X will be packing a 6.39-inch IPS LCD panel. The phones are also expected to debut the 7nm Kirin 810 octa-core chipset, which is believed to bring significant improvements over the predecessor. This also brings the Mali-G52 MP6 GPU which is believed to offer 162% better performance compared to the GPU on the older Kirin 710 chipset.

Huawei is expected to take the wraps off the Honor 9X and 9X Pro on July 23 at a dedicated event in China. Expectedly, the phone will reach Asian markets first followed by European markets over the coming months. We won’t be holding our breaths for an American release, however.
