How To Fix The Samsung Galaxy A10e Can’t Send MMS Issue

It’s always a good idea to make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version before doing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below. If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first. This will at least minimize the possibility of the problem being caused by an outdated software version.

There are two things to your phone will need in order for it to send or receive an MMS. First, it should have an active mobile data subscription and it should have a good mobile data signal, preferably LTE. Second, your phone should have the correct APN settings. These settings are unique for each carrier so make sure to compare your phone settings to what your carrier is using and make the necessary setting changes in your phone if needed.

If your device satisfies both conditions but you are still experiencing the same issue then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

Perform a soft reset

You will need to refresh the phone software by doing a soft reset. This will remove any corrupt temporary data from your phone which could be causing the problem.

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
  • Wait as the device restarts.

Clear the cache and data of the text messaging app

Sometimes this problem can be caused by corrupt data within the text messaging app. If this is what’s causing the problem then clearing the cache and data of this app will help.

  • From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  • Tap Settings > Apps.
  • Tap the desired application in the default list.
  • To display preinstalled apps, tap Menu > Show system apps.

Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode

There are instances when an app you downloaded and installed in the phone could be causing this problem. To check if this is the case, you will need to start the phone in Safe Mode since only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.

  • Turn the phone off.
  • Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen appearing on the screen.
  • When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Power key.
  • Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
  • Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  • When Safe mode appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume down key.

In case the issue does not occur in this mode then it’s likely that the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Wipe the cache partition

There are instances when a corrupted system cached data can cause this problem. It’s therefore a good idea to delete this data as the phone will just rebuild this data when it starts again.

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select.
