You should also check if other devices under the same network are also having the same problem in your immediate vicinity to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a network outage. 

Perform a soft reset

Your phone will usually store the most commonly used data to improve its performance. Sometimes this data can get corrupted and can lead to this issue. If this is the case then a soft reset can usually fix this which can be done easily by simply restarting the device. This step will also reset the connection to the network which will help in this case.

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.

Check if the problem occurs in Safe Mode

There are cases when an app you downloaded from the Google Play Store will cause issues on the phone when it is installed.   • Tap on Settings

Wipe the cache partition of the phone
