How to fix LG G7 ThinQ can’t receive calls issue

Problem: LG G7 ThinQ can’t receive calls

Can’t receive calls. Goes directly to voice mail. I’ve entered *730 code to reset phone,soft reset and have done a safe check. But to no avail. Any advice would be grateful.

Solution: There’s a number of things to check if you wish to fix this issue. Refer to the suggestions below on the troubleshooting steps that you can do in this situation.

Verify if SMS or Mobile data is working

If SMS or mobile data are not working as well, there might be an issue with your account with your network operator. In this state, the best thing that you can do is to contact them. There’s no point doing device troubleshooting when it’s an apparently account problem to begin with. If SMS and cellular data work though, continue with the suggestions below.

Cache partition wipe

Sometimes, a corrupted system cache can cause problems. Android uses a set of temporary files to load apps faster called system cache. If this cache becomes outdated or corrupted, the phone may encounter performance problem, app crashes, and other sorts of problems. To see if a corrupted system cache is to blame, follow the steps below to clear the cache partition.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap the ‘General’ tab.
  3. Tap Storage > Internal storage.
  4. Wait for menu options to finish calculating.
  5. Tap Free up space.
  6. Tap Temporary files & raw files.
  7. Select the following options:
  8. Cached data
  9. Clip tray temporary files
  10. Raw files from camera
  11. Tap Delete > DELETE.

Install app and system updates

The next good thing to do here is to ensure that all apps, especially the one that’s having a problem, is up-to-date. This is one way of minimizing the chance of a bug from developing. To do that, make sure to regularly visit Google Play Store and update your apps from there. By default, the Play Store app should download updates automatically. If you prevent the app from downloading updates on its own, be sure to regularly check for them from time to time.

Reset Phone app to its default settings

One way of directly dealing with a possible app issue is by clearing its data. This procedure will return the app to its factory state. If a bug has developed due to incorrect app configuration, this might help. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap the ‘General’ tab > Apps & notifications.
