Solution 1: Check for server issue

Solution 2: Switch to a different network

To do this:

  1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open RUN dialog box

  2. At RUN dialog box, type %appdata% and press Enter or click OK to open AppData folder

  3. Double click on Discord folder.

  4. Press CTRL + A on your keyboard to highlight all the files inside Discord folder.

  5. Right click on the highlighted entries and click Delete from the drop down menu.

  6. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open RUN dialog box

  7. At RUN dialog box, type %localappdata% and press Enter or click OK to open local appdata folder.

  8. Double click on Discord folder.

  9. Press CTRL + A on your keyboard to highlight all the files inside Discord folder aside from Update file.

  10. Right click on the highlighted entries and click Delete from the drop down menu.

  11. Restart computer.
