How to disable Bixby on Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

Samsung didn’t include an option to disable Bixby on Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus or any other variants but it claimed that it improved the service. In fact, the company has been rolling out updates for its applications week after week following the release of its flagship this year. But whether Bixby has been updated or not isn’t really the problem. The issue is that the service is launched due to accidental button presses when the phone is in the pocket and we don’t want that.

This is the reason why we always want to find ways to disable Bixby and in this post, I will walk you through in doing a workaround that would, sort of, disable the Bixby button. So, if you’re one of the owners of this device and are currently looking for a way to disable the service, then you’ve come to the right place. Read on to learn how…

The best way to disable Bixby on Galaxy S10 Plus

Samsung wants you to use this service as it may have spent a fortune having someone develop it. Again, there’s no option to permanently disable the Bixby button but here’s what you can do so that it won’t launch due to accidental button presses…

Log in to your Samsung account

There are some settings in your phone that won’t be enabled if you’re not logged into your Samsung account, so this is the first thing you must do:

  1. Press the Bixby button.
  2. Touch the Next arrow.
  3. Now enter your Samsung credentials. If you don’t have one, then you will have to create a new Samsung account.
  4. If you’re asked to ‘Use your biometrics’ tap ‘Not now’.
  5. Tap the Next arrow again.
  6. Review the terms and conditions and tap the Next.
  7. Tap the Next for the final time.
  8. And that’s it, you’re logged it.

  1. From the home screen, hold down on empty space until the menu appears.
  2. Swipe to the right to reach the left home panel.
  3. Disable Bixby Home.

Disable Bixby Button

After disabling Bixby Home, it’s time to disable the Bixby Button but we’re actually just changing the launch method from single press to double press. This will prevent launches due to accidental presses and while it’s not really the solution we want, it still gets the job done.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Advanced Features.
  3. Tap Bixby key.
  4. Select Double press to open Bixby.
