You can easily block someone on Line from the friends list of the app. When you do this you will no longer receive messages, voice and video calls from the blocked contact. They will also not appear in your friends list anymore instead will be placed in the blocked list.
Line is a messaging app that’s free to download that’s available for the Android, iOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and MacOS platforms. Messages sent and received using the app use end to end encryption technology which means only the sender and receiver can view it. This applies for one on one chats and group chats of up to 50 people as long as the letter sealing feature is enabled. Aside from sending text messages, users can also make calls as well as video calls using the app.
Block a contact on Line using your Android phone
If you use Line for your daily communications then there might be certain contacts that you would like to block to prevent them from contacting you using the app. The blocked person won’t be able to send you any messages. Here’s what you need to do.

Block a contact on Line
- Open Line.
You can easily do this by swiping up from the home screen and tapping the app icon.
- Tap on Home.
This is located on the bottom left side of the screen.
- Tap Friends.
This will show your contacts on the Line app.
- Long press the contact you want to block.
This will open a new menu that will apply to the contact.
- Tap on Block.
This will allow you to block the contact on Line.
- Tap Block on the pop-up window.
This will confirm and proceed with blocking the chosen contact.
Unblock a contact on Line
If you would like to remove a contact from the blocked users list then here’s what you need to do.
- Open Line
- Tap on Home.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Friends.
- Tap Blocked users.
- Tap edit on the contact you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock.
After performing the steps listed above you will successfully block someone on Line using your Android phone.
