How to Fix Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Negative Screen

One Android Smartphone user asked us for a solution for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 negative screen. But before we go further, let us explain quickly the nature of the problem.

About the Galaxy Note 2 Negative Screen Problem

Basically, the Galaxy Note 2 negative screen is characterized by having a display with inverted colors much like the negative of a photograph. It affects all the pictures, icons, backgrounds and every image shown by the phone. This feature allows reading texts easily in the dark or areas with little lighting.

Solutions to the Galaxy Note 2 Negative Screen

Here are the possible fixes for this particular Galaxy Note 2 issue:

1. Disable the Feature Through Settings

Normally, the feature can be turned on and off through the Settings of the phone. Here’s how to do it:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Accessibility.
  • Switch off Negative Colors using the switch.

Before proceeding to the next step, make sure that the Galaxy Note 2 Negative Screen is disabled first using the steps presented above.

2. Restart Device

Try to perform a Soft Reset by holding down the Power/Lock button for 10 seconds until the phone reboots successfully. You can also reset your phone by removing and putting the battery back in prior to a restart. The solution provided by this method may only be a temporary fix though.

3. Check Phone for Rouge Apps

Start under Safe Mode and observe your phone for a couple of hours if the problem recurs. If the issue does not appear under Safe Mode, then, there must a third-party app causing all the trouble. Try to determine the problematic app or recall the most recent app that you have installed prior to the occurrence of the issue. Disable or delete any app that you think is automatically triggering the Galaxy Note 2 negative screen.

4. Perform Factory Reset

A quick way to remove major glitches caused by third-party apps is via Factory Reset. If there are no other solutions left, you may perform this. Make sure that you have backed up all your important data though prior to this operation.

  1. I tried EVERYTHING but still nothing happens. Even though the screen inversion setting is turned off, it is still inverted. But, whenever i turn on the screen inversion, the colors are the same except for black and white.
