Steps on how to insert a microSD Card to a Galaxy Note9:

Adding a microSD card to your Galaxy Note9 is simple and it can be done under two minutes. If your SD card won’t fit or too big, that means you’re using the standard sized SD card. Make sure to use a microSD card before proceeding.

  1. Prepare the ejector or ejection pin. This is the metal pin that comes with the phone when you first unboxed it. If you lost or misplaced it, you can use a paper clip instead.
  2. Using the ejection pin, carefully insert it into the hole on the SIM card or SD card tray.  The pin must be inserted perpendicular to the hole to avoid damaging it. This hole is located on top of the phone. Be sure not to pick the microphone hole which is also located on top.
  3. Once the SIM card or SD card tray pops out, gently pull it out.
  4. Place your microSD card to the tray.
  5. Insert the SIM card or SD card tray into the phone.

Steps on how to remove a microSD Card from your Galaxy Note9:

Removing an SD card from your Galaxy Note9 is very similar to inserting one. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Before you remove the microSD card tray, be sure unmount the microSD card first. This  will prevent the microSD card or your files from getting corrupted. To unmount the microSD card, just go under Settings > Storage > More Options > Storage settings > SD Card > Unmount.
