S9+ Pictures Get Corrupted When Saved In MicroSD Card

Problem: Hi. I am using samsung S9+. Recently I have change my SD card from 32GB to 64GB. Unfortunately, when i use this 64GB, half of my video and picture went corrupt and cannot read by the phone. only grey screen with ! symbol on it. I already format and do backup but seems not solving the problem. Anything store in phone memory are in good condition. Why is this happen and what to do. fyi, it happen to two my 64GB SD card. Please help. thank you

Solution: This problem is caused by a faulty microSD card or a glitch in the phone software. To troubleshoot this problem try to format the microSD card in your phone then check if the problem still occurs. In case it does then try using another microSD card preferably one with a reputable brand.

If the problem still occurs even with a new microSD card installed then this could already be caused by a software glitch. If this is the case then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S9+ 64GB microSD Card Is Detected As 32GB

Problem: I recently swapped a 32gb micro SD card w a 64GB ultra in my Samsung Galaxy S9 plus. I cloned the data from the original card to the new one but the phone settings still show a 32gb card and says it is full. So I still get the errors that I’m low on storage. I guess it’s not recognizing the new card? I’ve restarted twice now and nothing.

Solution: The best way to fix this problem is to backup the data stored in the 64GB microSD card then format the card using your phone. Make sure that the card capacity is 64GB after the format. If the phone is detecting the card as having 64GB of storage then the initial problem could be caused by an issue with the cloning process. I suggest that instead of cloning the 32GB microSD card you just copy its contents to the 64GB card.

S9+ Not Reading microSD Card

Problem: New Samsung 32 gb microSDHC EVO Select card is unsupported in a Galaxy S9+ from Verizon.   Successfully formatted the card on Win 10 PC using fat32 with no error, but the phone still won’t support it after multiple attempts.  Get following error message when trying to Set up the card in the phone: “command xx volume partition disk 179,64 public failed with 400xx command failed” where  xx is the number of the attempt to set up the card.

Related Problem: Bought new sd 64g memory card. Worked only one day. Now phone doesn’t register SD Card. It states mount SD card and it’s still in the slot. I have a Samsung S9+. Please help. Ps phone didn’t drop. All I did was transfer existing photos to the memory card and a few apps to free up space.

Solution: Try to isolate the microSD card first by getting a new card. Check if the problem occurs with this new card installed. If it doesn’t then the first card might have some corrupt sectors in which case you should replace it.

In case the problem still occurs even with the new card installed then there’s a possibility that this is caused by software glitch. You should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete immediately check if the card can read the microSD card. If necessary you should try to format the card using the phone.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this device might have a faulty microSD card reader.

S9+ Pictures Disappeared From microSD Card After Software Update

Problem: Hi there! So my issue is that a couple of pictures disappeared after the software update for my galaxy S9+. A while ago I bought a sd card so I thought it could be that it is the problem but I clearly remember how the pics had been still out there before the update happened. Any tips on how to get em? Thanks!

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to remove the microSD card from the phone and let your computer read the card. Using the file explorer program of the computer navigate to the location on the card where the photos are stored. Do you see the photos in the card? If they are present then I suggest that you copy these photos to your computer. Insert the microSD card back to your phone then check if the photos are present.

In case you are still missing the photos then there’s also the possibility that they might have been deleted. Try observing first if some photos still disappear. If they disappear then the best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset as the problem could already be caused by a software glitch.
