How To Unlock The Samsung Galaxy S10

The most anticipated release of the year is finally here: the Samsung Galaxy S10. Succeeding the Galaxy S9, this Samsung’s new flagship for the year, and it comes with some upgrades to the design, hardware, and camera setup. The display is probably the highlight of this phone, getting rid of bezels almost entirely. These upgrades aren’t free though -- they come at an added cost, a cost that not everyone is able to afford, and so, most will buy this on a device payment plan or from a carrier with an incentive.

Those payment plans are great, because they enable everybody a chance at the latest and greatest smartphone on the market; however, the “con” is that, for the life of that phone, it will be locked to whatever network you bought it from. And generally, there’s no escaping that, unless the carrier itself has mercy on you and gives you an unlock code.

But luckily, you don’t need to go around all of that red tape. Unlocking your phone is easy, and you’ll be able to freely use it on supported networks and carries by unlocking it. Not sure how? If you follow along below, we’ll show you why you want to unlock it, and then the five easy steps you can take to unlocking your Galaxy S10 yourself. Let’s get started.

Why Unlock The Galaxy S10?

First, a definition -- a network-locked phone essentially means that the phone is locked to the network that you bought the phone from, and it cannot be used outside of that network (sans WiFi, of course). So, if you bought a Galaxy S10 from AT&T, you could not then put a Verizon SIM card inside your AT&T Galaxy S10 -- you would get an error like “Network not supported. Contact your carrier”, and then your cell service would be disabled until the proper SIM card from AT&T was inserted. The same goes for other big carriers like Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, as well as the many subsidiaries out there.

There are a lot of great reasons for unlocking your Galaxy S10. It’s generally not something that you need to do “just because”, but for some very real practical reasons.

For one, you might want to consider international travel. By using AT&T, Verizon, or any other carrier in the US, you can incur some very expensive international travel charges when it comes to your smartphone. International data, talk, and text can get very expensive; however, by having your Galaxy S10 unlocked, you can very easily swap in a SIM card from a local carrier in your destination country. This lets you pay normal prices for talk, text, and data, anc can potentially save you hundreds of dollars, if not thousands in charges. Roaming charges are no joke.

It’s also worth considering that military members go to some pretty obscure places, places where AT&T, Verizon, and others might not be able to obtain good coverage. By unlocking your Galaxy S10, you can very easily use SIM cards from carriers in those countries, and still stay in contact with your loved ones back home.

There’s also the fact that you might use your Galaxy S10 for business. Your employer might have an agreement with a carrier that you’re not already on, and will want you to use the SIM card for your network. With your Galaxy S10 unlocked, you’ll be able to swap out your SIMs (or use multiple) as necessary.

So how do you unlock your Galaxy S10? Well, it’s easy!

How to unlock your Galaxy S10

Step 1: Find a Code Provider For Your Phone

Since we won’t be going through the carrier for your unlock code, we’ll need to grab an unlock code from a reputable code provider. We really like UnlockUnit for this -- they’ve passed our selection process, and have a great customer service team ready to help you should you run into any issues. That said, we’ll be using UnlockUnit for this process.

Step 2: Get the IMEI/IMEID of your Galaxy S10

Now, to unlock your phone, we’ll need the IMEI of your Galaxy S10. This can be easily found on your phone. Just one way you can get it (as shown in the picture above) is to open up your dialer, or Phone. Next, you’ll want to type in *#06# -- the IMEI code should appear in a pop-up box almost immediately. You’ll want to write that down somewhere safe.

The alternate way to grabbing your IMEI number is to open the Settings app, and then going into About Phone or About Device. You should find the long string of characters within a box or category that says IMEI.

Step 3: Get your code

Now we need to buy the code. Head over to UnlockUnit, select the Galaxy S10 as your phone model, and choose what network the phone is currently on. Then, enter the IMEI number in the IMEI box, and your email address in the email box. The email address is important, because this is where the code will be sent to.

Step 4: Use your new SIM card

Now, with the code in your email, we can use the new SIM card. Shut down your Galaxy S10, and remove the current SIM card. Replace it with the SIM card that you want to use (i.e. if you’re on Verizon, you might want to use an AT&T SIM).

Step 5: Enter the Unlock code

Power on your phone. Once powered on, you should see an option that says Enter Your Network Unlock Code. This would be the code sent to your email from UnlockUnit. Enter it in the box and then press the Enter or Send button. And that’s it! Congratulations -- your Galaxy S10 is now unlocked and free to use on other supported networks!

Verdict

As you can see, removing the network-locked restrictions on your new Samsung Galaxy S10 is an easy task. In just a couple of steps, you can have it unlocked and ready to use on another network, and without ever contacting your carrier. You can always contact your carrier and see if they’ll unlock it for free, but chances are, they won’t. If you get that rejection from your carrier, not all hope is lost -- UnlockUnit can always provide you a code to unlock most devices, including the Galaxy S10.

With your Galaxy S10 unlocked, you can use it on other networks throughout the US, but most importantly, on other networks worldwide. You can say goodbye to those expensive international data and roaming charges from your carrier. You’ll never have to pay those again!

As an added bonus, you increase the value of your Galaxy S10 by unlocking it, as the person who buys your phone will be able to use it on any network as well. An unlocked Galaxy S10, like other phones, are traditionally more valuable than network-locked ones. You might even get a quicker sale this way!

Not picking up a Galaxy S10? No problem! UnlockUnit can provide you with unlock codes for phones like Sony, Motorola, Huawei, BlackBerry, and even Apple, too. The unlocking process for these phones is the same as above; however, you’ll just need to make sure you enter the appropriate phone model and network the phone is on when purchasing your code from UnlockUnit.

How to Hard Reset or Master Reset your new Samsung Galaxy S10e

A hard reset or master reset is just another way of doing the factory reset. Basically, they have the same benefits but performed differently. Continue reading as I will guide you on how to do the hard reset or master reset on your new Samsung Galaxy S10e that might not be working properly. I will tell you what to do prior to the reset so that you won’t get locked out of your phone once the reset is done. Detailed Guide on How to Hard Reset or Master Reset Galaxy S10e

While the hard reset is basically the same as the factory reset, there are things you don’t have to forget before doing it as you may be locked out of your device. The Anti-Theft feature or Factory Reset Protection is an essential feature of the new Android devices. If the master reset is performed while the Google account is still set up on the phone and that you use a different account after the reset, the FRP will be triggered and you may no longer be able to gain access to your device.

To prevent this from happening, you must remove your Google account from your device before booting it up into the Recovery Mode and doing the reset. Or, make sure you know your Google ID and password and you use those to setup your device again after the reset. Here’s how to remove your Google account from your device:

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts > Google.
  3. Tap your Google ID email address if multiple accounts are setup. Repeat for each account.
  4. Tap Remove account > REMOVE ACCOUNT.

If you have important files saved in your phone’s internal storage, move them over to your SD card or computer or you may save them in the cloud as they will be deleted during the process. After the backup and the removal of your Google account, follow these steps to hard reset or master reset your Galaxy S10e:

  1. Back up data on the internal memory. If you have signed into a Samsung account on the device, you have activated Anti-theft and will need your Samsung credentials to finish the master reset.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  4. When the green Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset’.
  6. Press Power button to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
  8. Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  10. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Back up data on the internal memory. If you have signed into a Samsung account on the device, you have activated Anti-theft and will need your Samsung credentials to finish the master reset.

How To Use An Xbox One Controller On PC

Microsoft has always been a major player in the console gaming world, starting with the Original Xbox, and now the Xbox One X today. They’ve consistently upgraded their Xbox to keep up with technology, and competitors; however, they’ve also made their controllers advantageous, by making them compatible with PCs right out of the box.

You may notice that some games work better with a controller then a keyboard, or you may just enjoy the compact style of controllers. So, you might be looking for a cheap controller made for the PC. But, if you’ve already got an Xbox One in the house, why waste the money when that controller can easily hook up to your PC? There are two convenient ways of connecting your Xbox One controller to your PC, through Bluetooth and USB. Follow along below, and we’ll show you how to setup both of these methods.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is an excellent way to connect up your controller. This is a great method if you like the convenience that wireless brings; however, wired over USB is generally better if you want faster reactions and don’t want to deal with dead batteries. Nonetheless, here’s how you can setup an Xbox One controller over Bluetooth:

If you are going to use a Xbox One controller over Bluetooth, it is essential that you have Windows updated to the latest version. Any recent version should do, but we recommend the newest as it is safest to use, at least as far as security goes and performance.

If you need to check what version of Windows you’re on, press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard simultaneously. A tab will open with a search bar — just type ‘winver’ — sans quotation marks — and you should see your Windows version.

Now you will need to turn on your controller — just push the Xbox button at the center of it. Then press and hold down the connect button for a few seconds, then release. Now you will need to go to the Bluetooth menu on your Windows PC. Just click on Start — there should be a gear icon to the left hand side of the menu. You’ll want to click on that.

Now click on the ‘Devices’ menu, and then click on Bluetooth submenu. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled, and look for an ‘Xbox wireless controller’. This should show up in something that says Nearby Devices. It may have another term, depending on your wireless controller model. Either way, simply left click on it, then click on ‘pair’.

After just a few seconds, your controller should be enabled on your PC, ready for use! Your controller wont work until you head into a video game, or some other client that uses controllers.

USB

Depending on how old your Xbox controller is, it could have come with a USB Dongle. If it didn’t, you’ll need to buy one separately, as it is essential to use if you want to connect via USB.

In order to connect your controller via USB, turn on your controller. Connect up the wire from the controller to the PC. Then, press and hold the connect button on your controller until the Xbox button stops flashing. Now your controller should be connected to your PC and ready to use in any game or client that uses controllers!

Verdict

It is very easy to see why you would want to use a controller in a game, as they often give you better precision in some genres that mouse and keyboard couldn’t. And as you can see, it is easy to connect the Xbox controller to your PC. It can often be done in just a couple of seconds, as long as you have all the necessary accessories with you.

How To Add Bots To Your Discord Server

If you’ve done any gaming before at all, you’ve no doubt heard of Discord. If you haven’t, Discord is the successor to many messaging platforms based around gaming — Xfire, Teamspeak, Ventrillo, and more. Discord has been so successful, that it was recently announced that they were gaining around $2.5B in funding.

That said, more and more gamers are flocking to the platform everyday. There are tons of groups and unique servers, all based around different games and topics. However, there’s also a lot of management that goes into keeping a Discord server up and running. Luckily, a lot of that can easily be automated by adding Discord “bots” to your server.

Not sure how you can add Discord bots to your server? Follow along below, and we’ll show you how you can do that step-by-step.

What are Discord Bots?

If you’ve never operated a Discord server before — or been in one with bots — you may not be entirely sure what they do. Like we mentioned, they’re usually there to automate different aspects of server management, as well as social sharing. For example, you can add a bot that will play music, post amusing memes or gifs to the channel, and more. There are some more serious bots out there for fetching game stats out of supported games. The types of bots available are endless, and the ones that you add to your own personal server all depend on what features you’re looking to add to the server. Here are just a few ideas that you can do with Discord bots. Carbonite has some more productive options available for you to use as well, such as a bot for watching Steam sales, or a bot for watching when all your friends are online.

How to add Discord bots

At first, it might sound complicated to add bots to your Discord server; however, Discord keeps it pretty straightforward. The only thing you’ll need is your own Discord server, or a Discord server that you have admin privileges to.

To add a bot, you’ll actually have to do it through the Discord website. Here are the steps to adding a bot to your server:

  1. Log into the Discord website with your account information.
  2. Next, head on over to your profile, find the General Permissions section, and then make sure that Manage Server is enabled. Now we can add a bot to your server!
  3. Now, you can click on the ‘Add Bot to Server’ button, or you can use the ‘Invite bot’, depending on what you’re using for adding a bot to your server.
  4. Next, we’ll need to select the specific server we’re adding the bot to. Just select the server to add the bot to from the prompt, and then you can authorize the bot in the pop up window that appears next.
  5. Finally, you can open up the Discord app on your computer, head to the server you added the bot to, and then you should see your added bot in the sidebar.

As you can see, it’s really easy to add a bot to a Discord server that you have admin privileges to. In just a couple of clicks, you can have some new features up and running on your own server. If you are a little more experienced with Discord, you can add bots via a URL.

It works essentially the same way as the above steps, requiring you to be logged into your Discord server.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. A Discord Bot URL is going to look like this: https://discordapp.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=<Bot_Client_ID>&scope=bot&permissions=0.
  3. Next, you’re going to want to find your Bot Client ID. Once you find it, look for the “Bot_Client_ID” in the URL above. You’ll want to chose those characters with the actual Client ID of the bot that you want to add. Then, just press enter.
  4. Next, you will need to authorize the bot. The command uses OAuth2 to already verify that; however, it may require some extra authorization, as Discord is very careful about the bots that you allow on the platform.

Verdict

As you can see, it’s actually quite easy to add a bot to your Discord server. If you already have your bot picked out that you want to add, you can have it setup and in use in just a couple of minutes.

Do you have a favorite bot that you add to your Discord servers? Let us know in the comments section below — we’d love to hear from you!

What Graphics Card Do I Have

With all these fantastic video games releasing, you may be interested in knowing how the graphics just keep getting better and better, and even how you can make sure your PC is the most up-to-date to keep up with the improved graphics. The bottom line is that this is because of the graphics card on your PC. But how do you tell which one you have? That’s important information to wield, as that’s the baseline for your upgrade options. In this article, we’ll go in-depth about what a graphics card is, how it works, and how to tell what type your PC has. Let’s dive right in.

What is a graphics card anyway?

The graphics card may sound important, after all, graphics are a major influence on the video game you may be playing, or even the movie you’re watching. In fact, it’s important for your entire display. Of course, you will not have to worry a whole lot about one if you don’t intend to do much of any gaming in the near future — the basic one you have usually does just fine for, well, basic activities.

Whether it’s watching a video, connecting 5 monitors to your PC, or just scrolling through Twitter checking out the latest news, a graphics card has a lot to do with how your PC operates, as well as everything you see happening on your computer screen, from opening a browser to moving your mouse from the left side of the monitor to the right. It will affect lighting, different shades of color, and every pixel on your monitor.

How does a graphics card work?

The graphics card takes binary information from your computer and will send the information to each individual light, or pixel, in your monitor, creating an illusion of reality. The manager/graphics card tells each and every person how and where to stand to make the best looking image they can. The graphics card can only hold so much information, however, which is why an older one will not work as well as a newer one.

How do I tell what graphics card I have?

By pressing the windows key and “r” simultaneously, you will open a run-dialog box. Enter “dxdiag” (sans quotation marks) into the box, and then select “okay.” This, in turn, will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool which will show you a list of different computational information.

On this panel, navigate to the display tab, and you’ll notice the box on the left-hand side has the name of your graphics card, the manufacturer, and a lot of other information pertaining to your graphics card. This is also a good way to see if your graphics card is having problems, as the bottom dialog box will tell you whether there is a software error, a hardware issue, or even if there’s nothing wrong at all.

Whether you use your computer for gaming/recreational activities or even just for work, having a bad graphics card can slow your computer down by a lot, which is exactly why it’s so helpful to know which card you have so you can either get a replacement later, or even just to get an update for it. This is also great to remember if you want to compare it with other available graphics cards out on the market right now.

Upgrading your card

A great graphics card you might be interested in upgrading to is the GeForce RTX 2060. It’s fast, and extremely powerful with triple fans. This graphics card comes with an overclock mode, which will speed up your performance tremendously, keeping you as fast as you can be in some of the latest gaming titles. On top of that, it’s not so expensive that it’ll cost you an arm and a leg. While in overclock mode, the fans are sped up, and still perform 105% quieter than other graphics card fans in order to make sure it doesn’t burn out after an intense gaming session.

Verdict

Your graphics card is a vital component to making your PC run smoothly and efficiently. Knowing which graphics card you have can help you understand exactly what your computer can do or how well it can function. To a gamer, his or her graphics card is one of the most important pieces in their computer, so if it’s too low-quality, it will negatively impact their experience with video games. If they have a great one on the other hand, they will have no problem running all their favorite games at top settings and they will still be hitting 60fps. And even if you’re not a gamer, the graphics card can be the difference between a slow and lagging computer and an extremely fast one that has no problem running the applications you need it to with ease.

How To Find MAC Address On Windows 10

Windows 10

If you’re not familiar with a MAC address you might be interested in more about it and how it affects your computer, as well as how you can go in and change it. Follow along with us below, and we’ll explain just what your MAC address is, what kind of security risks it could have, and even how to find it, and even change it if your hardware supports that.

So without further ado, here we go:

What is a MAC Address?

A MAC address is your IPv4 address and your physical address combined. When you try to access the internet, your wireless card/Ethernet cable sends your MAC address to the router, which then forwards it to the website you’re trying to access. This basically tells the website you’re a real person and not doing anything they wouldn’t want you to do

Why Change Your MAC Address?

There are quite a few reasons to change your MAC address. For one, if your internet card breaks and you get a replacement, you would need to change its MAC address to match the old one, unless you’re willing to wait several days for your internet service provider to approve the new internet card’s MAC address.

Another reason why you’d want to change your MAC address is that there could be security issues. By using simple tools, anyone could steal your MAC address and surf the web, posing as you.

One thing to look out for is the great multitude of false or reasons that don’t hold any weight for changing your MAC address. While there are many legitimate reasons to change your MAC address, don’t feel like you need to change it every week. In some situations of using public Wi-Fi while traveling, or at coffee shops, etc., changing your MAC address may be a good idea to keep hackers and malware at bay.

How to Find Your MAC Address

By simultaneously pressing the windows key and the letter “r”, you will open a command box. By typing in “cmd” and clicking “okay,” it will open a command prompt. Another way to go about doing this is by clicking on the search box at the bottom-left of your screen and typing “cmd.” Then, upon opening command prompt, you will see a line that looks something like this: C:\Users\your username here. You’ll need to type “ipconfig/all” (sans quotation marks), followed by using the enter key, and a bunch of network info will pop up. If you navigate to the bottom of the list of information, you should be able to see IPv4 and a physical address together. They make your MAC address note that both the network card and the Ethernet have two different MAC addresses.

At the bottom of the Command Prompt, you’ll see the IPv4 and the physical address are under “Wireless LAN Adapter Local Area Connection.” The MAC address for your Ethernet cable would be under “Ethernet Adapter” in your command prompt.

How to Change Your MAC Address

Keep in mind some internet cards don’t even let you change your MAC address, but if you have one that does, this is how to do it. If you want to see if this option is available to you, you’ll need to simultaneously press the Windows key and “x.” You’ll open a panel on the left of your screen, locate “Device Manager,” and open it. Locate “Network Adapters,” and click the dropdown. The top item should be your internet card, so right click it and select “properties,” then move to the advanced tab.

There you will be able to see if you can change your MAC address. If you don’t see the option available, your network card probably doesn’t support the ability to change your MAC address.

Verdict

There are lots of good reasons to change your MAC address, but there are also lots of illegitimate reasons as well. While changing it for any reason isn’t going to negatively impact your network card, you could be waiting on your ISP to approve your new MAC address when you didn’t previously ever need to do so.

Changing your MAC address is super easy and doesn’t take a lot of time, but can be really helpful for remembering it later when you change your network card or think you may be at risk to hackers and viruses.

How To Uninstall Steam Games

After the spending holiday spree you have probably accumulated a new set of video games or electronic devices, in which case you have no doubt used Steam before.

Having installed plenty of these games, you are probably running low on storage space. So, you probably need to figure out how to remove some of them from your hard drive to make room for new ones. Here we will cover how to install, and uninstall your Steam video games. Let’s dive right in.

Uninstall a Steam game

To get started, you need to open up the Steam app on your computer. Next, you need to log in to your Steam account. Type in your username and password, and click ‘Log in’

Next, click on the Library button near the top left. Scroll down to your chosen video game, or just search the name of the video game in the search bar.

From here, it’s easy — just right click on the game, then click on ‘Uninstall’. Steam will take you through the process of uninstalling.

No need to worry about lost progress either; Steam uploads them to the Cloud, where as soon as you install the game again, you can just load a previous save and resume where you left off!

Installing a Steam game

What if you want to install one of those old games again? You can easily install it, all thanks to Steam.

Simply go to your library, look for the video game you have in mind, or you can go over to the search bar and type in its name.  Click on the video game title, then click on the blue install button.

Now the game is installing. If you need to pause it or restart the install, just click on ‘Games” next to the search bar. A drop down should appear. Click on ‘Downloads’, and then here you can see the various games you have installing or the ones that need to be updated. Simply click  the arrow next to the download to start it, or click X to remove it.

If you want to alter the bandwidth or speed of your download, you will need to click on the top left corner menu item, ‘Steam’. In the dropdown, click on ‘Settings’. A menu will appear, then click on Downloads. You will see multiple options, but to alter the bandwidth you will see that option at the center right. Adjust it to what you feel is necessary for your connection.

Verdict

As you can see, it’s very easy and simple to install and uninstall your video games through Steam. Steam is a hard one to not recommend, as it makes it easy to manage your massive library of games, especially with having all of your save data remain in the Cloud.

How to screenshot on Samsung Tablet

Samsung tablets have fewer features compared with flagship devices as they target the computing market more. When it comes to taking screenshots, these devices may offer you one native method in doing so, although newer tablets like the Galaxy Tab S4 may offer you two. There are also apps from the Play Store you can use to help you taking screenshots a little easier in some ways.

If you just want to take a screenshot using the conventional way with your Samsung tablet, here’s how it’s done…

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously until a white border flashes around the edges of the screen.

This works on all Samsung tablets but if you’re using a newer device, you can use Palm Swipe to capture the screen. If enabled, it’s actually easier to do the screenshot with this. To turn it on, navigate Settings, search for and select Palm swipe to capture. Then, touch the slider to turn on Palm swipe to capture.

Once enabled, you just have to swipe the edge of your hand across the screen to capture the screen you’re currently on. But take note that this feature won’t work if the on-screen keyboard is showing.

How Do I Increase or Decrease Font Size On Android

Are you having trouble seeing your smartphone’s display? Maybe the text is just too small to read for you, and you would like to increase it to something that’s a little more comfortable. Luckily, this is something that Android allows you to do, simply by playing around with some options inside of the settings. Android actually allows you to adjust the font size on a sliding scale, giving you precision over the exact integer you would like the font size to be.

Font size adjustments can be a little difficult to adjust, mostly because they’re buried in the Settings app. However, if you follow along below, you’ll be able to change the exact font size in a jiffy.

Change font size

The process for changing the font size can vary based on what brand of phone you’re using. But, when it comes down to it, the process is going to be pretty similar, give or take some small differences.

The first step is to open the app drawer and find the Settings app. Tap it to launch your Settings screen.

Next, we’ll want to navigate over to the Display category. You should see a Font option, and you’ll want to tap that. That will either bring up a window prompt and show you five different levels of fonts that you can choose from, or there will be a slider where you can adjust the font size manually on a 0 to 100 scale. If the window prompt appears, you will have five options:

  • Tiny
  • Small
  • Normal
  • Large
  • Huge

Each one is a progressively larger font, giving you a variety of options for all different types of eyesight.

On some phones, the process might be a little different, particularly with newer versions of the Android operating system. Tap your Settings app, and then navigate over to the Accessibility category. Select font size, and then user the slider to adjust it.

It’s worth noting that font size doesn’t affect the Google Chrome app. If you want to change that, you’ll need to open Google Chrome and go into the app settings and adjust the font size manually.

Display Size

The font size adjusts the text exclusively, but Android also has an option where you can adjust the size of the display as a whole. You can increase it, and then the entire screen scales or adjusts to that higher size setting. Everything is larger when you adjust the Display Size — text, app icons, and more.

Magnification

If you don’t want to change the overall font size and size of your display, you might want to consider messing around with the magnification gesture. This way, you can leave your display size at a normal size, and then you can just triple-tap the screen to magnify it. It will then allow you to drag that magnifier around the display to magnify what you want to see.

To access and adjust the Magnification Gesture, open up Settings on Android. Then, tap on the Display section. On some phones, you might find it under Accessibility.

Next, you’ll want to tap on the option that says Magnification Gesture. It will give you some information about the tool, but to turn it on, you’ll want to tap on the slider at the top right of the screen. You can turn it off by tapping on the slider again.

Like we mentioned, the way you turn on Magnification Gesture is to triple tap the screen. Then, you can drag it around, and look at items on your screen with that magnified view. To exit, simply triple tap the screen again.

High Contrast Text

As you can see, there are a handful of different options that allow you to adjust the size of text, your overall display size, and even magnify certain sections of the screen. But, instead of size trouble, maybe you have trouble seeing the display because of the different colours. Android has an experimental feature to solve this problem for those running Android Nougat and above.

Once again, open up your app drawer and tap on the Settings option. Head into the Accessibility section, and then tap on the slider that says High Contrast Text. This essentially makes the items on your overall display a little darker, allowing you to see just a little better.

Closing

Here we’ve shown you a handful of different ways that you can adjust the size of the icons and text in your display. Play around with the settings to see what works the best for your accessibility needs.

How To Watch Free Movies Online Without Downloading Or Sign Ups

Subscriptions after subscription can start to add up pretty quickly.  Your cable subscription, Netflix, Hulu, and any other individual services you might be signed up for can amount to quite a bit of cash in subscriptions per month. If you’re trying to stay frugal or want to cut costs, you might be wondering how you can do it without losing all of the entertainment that you get. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to watch free movies online, without downloading or having to sign up for an account!

Not sure what those services are? Follow along below, and we’ll show you some of our favorites. Let’s dive right in.

Crackle

Ready to start watching your favorite TV shows and movies for free? Then you’ll want to definitely check out Crackle, the streaming service put together by Sony. It’s not well known, and hardly has the credibility of giants like Netflix and Hulu; however, that’s why Sony is allowing users to watch movies and TV shows on Crackle for free! Crackle is available on a wide variety of platforms, so you can watch your favorite TV shows almost anywhere with a Crackle account. You don’t always have to create an account either — in some cases, Crackle will let you sign-in with an existing Facebook or Google account.

All you need to do is download the app on your device of choice — you can even hop on the laptop or computer to go online and watch at the Crackle website. Crackle, like other streaming services, changes its contracts, and thus its library, every so often, so you have a variety of content regularly coming and going.

Popcornflix

Popcornflix is another favorite that doesn’t require downloading to a device to watch content. This one is completely free to use as well, and unfortunately, you do have to create an account t get started. You won’t be asked for credit card information or anything, but you do have to have an account. One of the things that we like about Popcornflix is just how versatile it is — you can use Popcornflix on a wide variety of different platforms, whether it be on Android, iOS, on your TV device of choice, or just by navigating to the website on a computer or laptop.

Popcornflix is completely free to use; however, that does mean it’s ad-supported. Suffice to say, ads will appear and play throughout you watching a TV show or movie on Popcornflix. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as it’s always good to pay the content creators one way or another; that way they can continue to provide free content! Like we mentioned, you will have to create an account to watch Popcornflix, but you won’t have to enter any credit or debit card information to watch!

Tubi TV

Another great way to watch free content online — without downloading — is to use Tubi TV. Tubi TV actually operates with licensing from content providers, so all of the shows and movies that you can watch online for free are completely legal, and not pirated. Those that are new to Tubi can simply navigate to the website or download the app to start watching your favorite shows and movies almost immediately, for free. Those that watch Tubi TV regularly will have to either create an account or sign-in through an existing platform, like Facebook or your Google account.

Yidio

Yidio is another excellent way that you can watch free TV and movies without downloading. Yidio was previously a database, where it could show you where you could watch your favorite TV shows and movies for free; however, now you can watch content directly from Yidio.

There’s a lot of strange and unfamiliar content on Yidio, but there’s an equal amount of movies and TV shows that you would be familiar with. There’s some awesome filtering options that allows you to find free and paid-for content. Near the search bar, you can actually filter by “Free.”

There’s always something new to watch as well — Yidio regularly rotates and switches their content around, either on their own or because of new licensing and contracts. That said, you should always see new content coming and going in the “Free” category.

Get it here: Google Play

Internet Movie Archive

The Internet Movie Archive comes up as last on our list, but it’s an excellent way that you can watch free content without creating an account. You certainly won’t be able to find new and modern releases with it, but you will be able to find all of the classics, as well as many older films — these are primarily movies and shows that have fallen out of the copyright status. There’s plenty of content on here that will keep you busy with the classics for weeks to come.

Get it here: Archive

Verdict

There are a lot of great ways to watch free movies online without download and sign-ups; Yidio, Popcornflix and TubiTV are some of those awesome options. There are, of course, some pros and cons here. Many of these “free’ platforms just aren’t going to have many popular modern releases and shows for you to take part in. That’s why services like Netflix are always increasing in price — they have to be able to pay for those expensive contracts from, say, Disney, to show the latest Infinity War movie or the latest Disney movie.

Many of these require you to have an account as well — there’s not really a great way to get around it. These “free” services have to be paid for somehow, and that’s usually by selling user data on watching habits, and what shows get the most views.

However, if you truly want to watch something without downloading and sign-ups, really, you’re only option is going to be the Internet Movie Archive, and with that, your stuck with the classics that have fallen out of copyright.

So, it’s pretty much a mixed bag, but all five services we listed here are still a great way to watch free content online. Do you have a favorite platform you use to watch free content?
