If you still don’t see any reason to keep your old Android phone, you can always sell it for extra cash. But before you place an ad on Craigslist or eBay, consider turning it in for an Amazon Gift Card, instead. Not many people know this, but Amazon’s little-known trade-in program has been running for several years now, allowing Amazon customers to exchange their books, textbooks, electronics, movies, music, game consoles, video games, and video game accessories for gift cards.
To take advantage of the program, go to the Amazon Trade-In website and look up the product you’d like to trade in to see whether it’s eligible for this program. If it is, you’ll be given two shipping options: a prepaid UPS shipping label or using a shipping carrier of your choice. From there, it may take up to 10 days before your item is received and appraised. Once your trade-in value has been paid, you’ll see the amount when viewing your gift card balance.

That’s a great point Hilda, doing a factory reset is a great idea for your old phone to run smoothly and FAST, if you’re only using one or two apps on your old phone, you pretty much just need WiFi and bluetooth. You will save battery life and a much faster performing device.
