How To Get Rid Of Walmart Gift Card Virus On Android

Are you getting that annoying Walmart gift card pop-up on your Android device? This makes you think that you have won a cash prize but unfortunately this is not the case. In order to collect the prize you are asked to fill out a form which will ask for your personal details which can later on be used against you.  Your phone might have been infected by this virus when you visited certain websites or downloaded an insecure app. To remove this virus from your phone just follow the steps listed below.

How To Get Rid Of Walmart Gift Card Virus On Android

Uninstall the app

  • Go to your phone “Settings” then click the “Apps”.
  • Go to “Downloaded” section then search for “Congratulations You Won.” Select it and uninstall from your Android device.

Clear your browsing history

  • Go to your phone “Settings” then click the “Apps”.
  • In the ‘Downloaded’ section, select “Chrome.”
  • Click  on the “Force Stop” tab and then click on “Clear Data” option.
  • Do this for all other browsers installed in your phone.

Once the above steps have been performed you should restart your phone.
