You Can Now Pre-Order the Nokia 7.2 in the U.S.
Just a couple of weeks after announcing the Nokia 7.2, the company is now bringing the phone to American customers via B&H. The smartphone can be pre-ordered from the retailer for $349. Naturally, the company is offering the phone unlocked and off-contract, so you’re free to pair this with the carrier of your choice.
It seems like the phone will only work with GSM carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, and so on, leaving out the likes of Verizon and Sprint. However, pre-orders come included with a Mint Mobile prepaid SIM card carrying 8GB of data valid for three months.
The Nokia 7.2 succeeds the Nokia 7.1 which was launched last October, although it was only sparingly available in the U.S. However, the company is looking to change that with this new model by bringing it to the region right after its announcement. With pre-orders going live right away, stocks are expected to ship by September 30, so the wait is not too long.
The Nokia 7.2 brings a bunch of other upgrades to the fore, particularly in the camera department. The 7.2 adds one more camera module, taking the tally to three rear cameras. This includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front camera is also bigger with the 20MP sensor used on the device.
Other hardware specs include a 6.3-inch 2280 x 1080 LCD panel, the octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities (10W). This phone runs Android 9.0 Pie on top of the Android One platform which ensures a clean and unadulterated Android experience for users while also offering quicker software updates.
