Now, going back to the problem, here are the things you can do with your Fitbit Versa if it does not update its firmware…
- Restart Fitbit Versa and try updating again.
- Refresh connection with Android device if updating via phone.
- Update Fitbit Versa using another device.
- Update Fitbit Versa by using a computer.
- Remove tracker from your account and add it again.
The first thing you should do if your Fitbit Versa isn’t updating is to reboot it to refresh its memory and all. Then, attempt to update it again and see if it goes through this time. If still not, then the problem could be with the connection with your tracker and your phone if you’re trying to update it thru the latter. In such case, turn off Bluetooth in your phone and turn it back on and once both devices are connected to each other, try to update the tracker.
Another option you have is to use a different phone to update your tracker if the other device fails to do so. You may have to connect your tracker and install its app on the other phone but it’s worth the effort if it results to your Fitbit Versa updating properly. You also have the option to update your phone via a computer. All you need to do is login to your Fitbit account using a web browser and update it from there. This often solves the problem but if the problem continues, then try removing the tracker from your account and add it again. After that, you should be able to update the device to the latest Fitbit OS.
