Verizon Offers a Detailed 5G Map to Help You Find the Best Coverage

As most of us are aware, 5G technology is still pretty new. It is expected to get a shot in the arm next year as networks in the U.S. expand significantly, particularly Verizon. The carrier currently offers 5G Ultra Wideband services in a total of 18 cities around the U.S. But how do you know which area of the city has better coverage? Thankfully, the carrier has now uncovered a new map on its website which allows users to quickly glance through their city and find areas where coverage is suitable for 5G performance.

What’s even better is that this map offers a detailed street by street view of the city you’ve selected, providing precise network related information for VZW 5G  customers. As for the contents of the map itself, well, it’s not very flattering, especially given the limited areas that it covers. So even if you live in a city like Chicago which is one of the 18 cities currently offering Verizon’s 5G networks, it’s entirely likely that you may never find 5G network connectivity in your home or workplace.

There’s also the fact that 5G phones are too expensive and barely available in the market right now. This pretty much means that the customers are less likely to spend over $1,000 for a compatible phone. While Verizon’s 5G coverage map covers less than 20 cities right now, the carrier has ambitious plans to reach 30 cities by the end of 2020. If you live in any of the 5G covered cities in the U.S., be sure to head over to Verizon’s site to get a better idea of where the carrier’s 5G networks are more easily available.
