S9 Proximity Sensor Not Working After Software Update

Problem: Hi I  I bought S9 apprx. 3 months back. It was working fine. After the software update some 8-10 days back my phone’s auto rotate and proximity sensor are not working. In addition it is restarting itself. Initially it was restarting 1 to 2 times a day but now it is frequently restarting. It was giving me some notification to factory reset the phone for using the settings of my new service provider after the software update. I had tried everything from simple restart to clear partition cache to factory reset. Still auto rotate and proximity sensor are not working. I don’t know about the restarting problem because I have factory reseted it an hour back so will have to wait to check it.

Solution: When issues such as this occur after a software update the best thing to do is a factory reset since it will eliminate any old data left behind that could be causing the problem. Since you have already wiped the cache partition of the phone and even performed a factory reset with the issue still occurring then there’s a possibility that this is caused by a faulty hardware component already. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as the device is still under warranty.

S9 Restarts After Logo Appears

Problem: So i had the battery replaced on my S9 prob like a lil over a month ago and my phone works fine for about a month so i had rooted it with an auto root program on my computer and everything was fine but then i rebooted it one day cause it was acting up and that’s when my trouble began it then went in to a boot loop i guess it would not get past the galaxy s9 screen without restarting and also it would only boot into download mode it wouldn’t go into recovery mode at all so i did a lil research and gather from it i needed to reflash the stock firmware to unroot it and fix the boot issue so i went to sammobile and got the firmware and flash it via odin and everything went smooth and it worked fine again for two weeks or so and the i was on it for a while one night and then i had an errand to run so i left so when i got home i took it out of my of my pocket i noticed it was off which i found strange cause it was charging before i left and i was gone only a short time so i tried turning it on and the it got to the galaxy s9 screen and shut down then it wouldn’t turn on at all so i plugged it in when i did it started the boot loop again and again no recovery just download mode but now it only boot loops or goes into recovery when plugged in so i flashed again and after several reboots i finally got to the recovery screen i wiped the cache and wiped the phone and the i got it to boot into android finally but it still wont stay on unless plugged in and then i got home today i found it it was booting to the s9 screen but the instead of going to the s9 screen and then turning on it now goes from the s9 screen to the blue screen with the android standing there in the recovery screen for a second or two the just shuts off and does it again and again it will go to download mode but not recovery but it wont do anything unless plugged in oh yeah and when this began the screen would have red green lines go across the screen right before it shuts down but the screen looks and works fine when in it would go into recovery but still seems good in download mode i have tried flashing it several times with no results i have no clue so u have any advice for me cause i would greatly appreciate it please and thank you.

Solution: Unfortunately this problem is already caused by a faulty hardware component already since you have already exhausted every software troubleshooting steps on the device. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9 Randomly Freezing

Problem: The problem that i have experienced with my phone is that everytime that i set my phone down for a few hours and then i try using it, it starts to freeze on me and it gets annoying. I started experiencing this issue like about a week or so after i got my phone. It takes about a couple of minutes to actually start working normally again but i don’t think this is normal cause i have owned older versions of galaxy phones and have not experienced this type of issue. Everything works fine afterwards, it’s just when I stop using it for a few hours. I have done a factory reset and also cleared the cache but still having the same problem. Any recommendations other than getting a new phone??

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it. You should also perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Do not install any apps in your phone after the reset has completed. You will need to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9 Device Is Overheating Error

Problem: I bought my phone Samsung S9 64GB one month ago and now it’s creating a lot of trouble I have its warranty and I can complain also but I want to do something on my own first .. So the problem is that it is showing that “the apps will not be opened as device is overheating” I am a person who is responsible and handle things very carefully. I used my phone with full care and even I have reset my mobile .. But still no use I have deleted all the apps even after having 64GB space please suggest me a solution if you can.

Solution: There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by one of the apps you installed or a system glitch. To fix this problem you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking if you still get the error message. If it still appears then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
