S9+ Automatically Turning Off
Problem: Hi im using an S9+ . At First it started having automatic turn off issues when i play videos, then I restored it to factory settings,and it still does it.I suspected its the battery,since it wont charge up anymore. So 1 day I brought it to the service center, and there it charged up, and when it turned on, it asked for my email and some info’s,then as when i entered the password, it turned off again while it is still being charged. Now when I’m trying to revive it, it keeps on flashing ands restarting the samsung logo . I did the press power button + volume down, it still flashes the logo. I did the press power button + volume down + home button, it just stays in downloading mode for about 10 hrs. I did the connect to computer and it start up from samsung S9 plus then samsung logo then restarting android and then back to samsung S9 plus. . Please help me I am desperate
Solution: It appears that this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. Since you have already performed a factory reset and the phone still turns off even when connected to the charger then this might be due to a bad battery or power IC. I recommend that you bring this phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
S9+ Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: Hello, i hope you can help. I’ve asked all the tech brains I know but no one seems to be able to tell me what is wrong with my S9 plus. It was working fine and then just stopped. I’ve tried rebooting and tried your of soft reset by pressing and holding the power and volume down button. It only displays the Samsung , powered by Android page and then goes black. It refuses to turn fully on. At first I thought it was a battery issue but after charging and the battery turns to a 100% green, it’s still not turning on. Any ideas what I should to do to fix this? Is it a Samsung software issue? If so, do you know how I can get it resolved. My phone was purchased in Berlin and is unlocked using Sim cards; no carrier contract.
Solution: If your phone has a microSD card installed then I suggest that you remove it first. Once the card has been removed proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. If the phone can start in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S9+ Will Not Charge
Problem: My Galaxy S9 plus will not charge. I tried troubleshooting with it by holding down the volume up, power key and menu key out at the same time but but it didn’t work. I use a different chord, outlet and ports and it still doesn’t work. So I went out and bought myself a wireless charging pad which works and the little green light turns on however my phone is still unresponsive and black. Please tell me if there’s anything else I can try before taking it in.
Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once the port is clean try charging the phone with its wall charger. In case the phone does not charge try using a different charging cord. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
Once the phone has charged try turning it on by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If this does not work then try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
