Note 8 Not Registered On Network Error When Making Calls
Problem: i have An N8 i got it like 5 months ago and it’s perfectly working i had no issues at all. And like 4 days ago i was surfing the internet (on carrier network) and while doing that the internet shuts down. And emergency calls only appears instead of my carrier name. So when ever i make a call it tells me Not registered on network I looked up in the internet and tried every solution i found none work i even checked if my sim card is working or not and it does work (i tested it on another phone) i even did a factory reset still the same problem I tried other sim card but still not working I suspected the sim card reader but i get that sim card application where you can find emergency numbers and service and stuff Please help me guy im going crazy over this problem I really need to make calls my life kinda stopped And giving my phone to repair shop is not an option because they will just tell you to change the sim card reader and open the whole phone no i won’t. Ps i dont have a warranty the phone is coming from outside the borders. Thanks.
Solution: Since you have already performed most of the troubleshooting steps that can be done on your end for this particular problem then this might be caused by two factors. One, the problem could be caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. Two, the phone could be blacklisted in which case you should contact your carrier if it is and find out why the phone has been blacklisted.
Note 8 SIM Error When Placing A Call
Problem: My wife purchased a Note 8 that is supposed to be carrier unlocked the phone originates from straight talk and our service is cricket wireless. She can text and use the internet without issue but when she attempts to place a call it reads sim error or no sim. Is this an issue that is easily fixed?
Solution: To fix this issue you should try restarting the phone first as sometimes this will usually fix this kind of problem. In case the issue still persists then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app installed in the phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup the phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete immediately check if the issue still occurs.
- Try using a different SIM card.
In case the issue persists even after performing the steps listed above then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
