Note 8 Facebook Messenger App Not Working With Bluetooth Keyboard

Problem: Galaxy Note 8 Facebook Messenger app won’t work with bluetooth keyboard My Samsung Note 8 connects to a bluetooth keyboard. Works great with email or any other typing need EXCEPT Facebook Messenger. All it does if I try to use my keyboard is it causes it to “exit” from the “keyboard which comes up on the screen.” 1. I go into a person I want to send a message to. I touch the message area. 2. It opens the area that says: “Type a Message” 3.If I try to use the Bluetooth Keyboard, it just returns to the non typing “state” of the screen. I can use it to type what I want to create posts on FB and EVERYTHING Just not messenger. My phone says my software is up to date and purchased it June 2018

Solution: If the Bluetooth keyboard works with any other app except the Facebook Messenger app then the problem is most likely caused by an issue with the Facebook Messenger app.

To fix this problem try clearing the cache and data of the Messenger app from the application manager. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If the problem still persists then you should uninstall the Messenger app then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store.

Note 8 Not Sending Text Messages

Problem: My Samsung galaxy Note 8 always says my texts are sent but when I turned on notifications today to find out when they are delivered I realized a couple of my friends never have the texts delivered to them or it takes a couple of days, but it’s only with a couple of people, everyone else I can send texts to just fine.

Solution: If the message is marked as sent in the text messaging app then it is most likely sent to the recipient. The delay in the receiving of the text could be caused by network issues. You should contact your carrier first regarding this matter.

In case there is not network issue then there are a couple of troubleshooting steps that you can do to fix this problem.

  • Clear the cache and data of the text messaging app form the application manager. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 8 Not Receiving Text Messages

Problem: Have a Samsung Note 8 and I have had issues with it from day 1. At the moment, I am not receiving any texts that are sent to my device. I just renewed my at&t plan this morning and am able to receive emails and calls, send emails and outgoing calls, and people are receiving my outgoing texts, but no incoming texts are showing. I have done a soft reset, I have cleared messaging cache and data, I have forced stopped messaging, turned off wifi and location, deleted old messages, everything that every forum says to do short of a factory reset as I have no way of backing up my data at the moment. What else can I try?? I’m at a loss….

Solution: Try to contact AT&T regarding this matter as this could be an account related problem. In case there is no issue with your account then you should definitely consider doing a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
