Note 5 Black Screen With Blue LED Light

Problem: hi i have a phone that was giving to me by my sister.from the research i’m pretty sure its a note 5 well i know its a note but almost positive its a 5. the screen wont turn on. all i get is a black screen and a pulsing blue light.when i hold the power and volume button down together it will shut down and then restart.when i plug it into the computer the computer does make a noise recognizing it but does not show a pop up of my device.iv been trying to connect it to the adb installer but don’t know if i’m getting to recovery mode by the power+volume up+home button.i always seem to just end up at the same blank black screen and pulsing blue light..i don’t know what to do can you please try and guide me..is there any tools or software i can download

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Charge the phone first for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger. In case the phone does not charge then try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then charge it again using a different charging cord and wall charger. Once the battery has been charged disconnect the phone from its charger then turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the issue persists then try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

Note 5 Will Not Respond To Touch

Problem: My Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phone will not respond to touch at all. In the morning, my phone got really wet as I was washing my face. I let it dry out before I used it and I thought it was okay but i was wrong. A couple of hours later, my phone just stopped working after I was using one of my apps. There were instances where the phone would freeze on the app before, but I would restart the app and it would be okay. Now, it responds to no touch at all but it still works (i receive text messages, emails, notifications, etc. they’re very delayed though). I’ve tried force restarting it, factory resetting it and removing all apps, and trying it in safe mode. Nothing has worked. When I first restart it, the phone would work fine sometimes (I would say 3/5 times I restart it) then become unresponsive again. I was wondering if this were due to water damage, a motherboard issue, and LCD issue, etc. If you know any fixes that would be fantastic; i really don’t want to have to take it in to a technician.

Solution: It’s likely that the water might have damaged the digitizer of the phone. To fix this turn off the phone then place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the device. Once this isdone check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to have this checked at a service center.

Note 5 Top Of Screen Not Responding To Touch

Problem: I have a Note 5 and the top leading edge where the little icons are doesn’t respond which also prevents me from pulling down the screen to access settings etc. It is literally that very top line. Everything below that works perfectly.

Solution: Does your phone have a screen protector installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be causing the problem. If there is no screen protector installed then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty digitizer.
