J7 Takes Too Long To Charge
Problem: My galaxy J7 sometimes says it will take 4 or 5 hours to charge, and I plug it in over and over and over again every time I need to charge it. About 50 times until it says 1 or so hours. It is very frustrating. Any advice on what I can do? It has been going on for about 3 months now and has recently gotten much worse. Thank you!
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port as this could interfere with the charging process. Once the port is clean try charging the phone using its wall charger. In case you still experience the same problem then you should try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You can also check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset then charging the phone once the reset is done. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should have the phone checked at a service center as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
J7 Boots to Recovery Mode
Problem: hello. I am having a problem with my galaxy J7. when trying to turn the phone on it says recovery booting in small blue letters on an all black screen. then the android guy comes up and it says installing updates and the two arrows on his belly are rotating. Then almost immediately it goes to no command with the guy tipping over all in white on a blue screen with a yellow exclamation symbol over top him. this process happened 5 or 6 times then screen just goes black. can you help me please?
Solution: If your phone has a microSD card installed then I suggest that you remove it first then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below. After performing a step immediately check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should proceed to the next step down the list.
- Do a soft reset by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. Check if the phone can boot normally
- Start the phone in recovery mode. From here you should wipe the cache partition of the phone then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Turned Off Not Switching On
Problem: I am using Samsung J7 which was bought almost a year ago. The device suddenly switched off when it was about 19% charged and won’t turn on. I have used every single method in your website but none of them seem to work. I request you to further look into it.
Solution: The first thing you should do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge. Connect the phone to its charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. In case the charging indicator does not appear then proceed with the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone.
- Try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
Once the battery has sufficient charge try turning on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
If the phone still does not turn on then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode then form here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

J7 Battery Drains Quickly
Problem: My device is a Samsung Galaxy J7. The device loses charge quickly…….from 100% to 0 in around 2 hours. Especially when it reaches 30%…..it will reduce at around 1% every 20 seconds till it reaches zero. I tried recalibration but didn’t work. So my question is whether the device itself can cause battery loss in some cases. But there are no background apps or third party apps running.
Solution: The best thing you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet instead try checking if the problem still persists. In case you still experience the same problem then the battery of your phone might need replacing. I suggest that you have this checked and replaced at a service center.
