J7 Needs To Be Factory Reset When It Turns Off

Problem: I have an issue with my J7 Ever since I got it really. I can’t let it power cycle or I have to factory reset it to get it back working again. When it powers off it goes to the Samsung logo and nothing after that. The only thing that seems to work (which is frustrating in itself) is factory resetting constantly wiping and starting again with my data. Today it randomly turned off and low and behold same thing… factory reset. However if memory serves correct when I bought it the phone was off and was shown it switched on to make sure was working… is there any other way to fix this annoying bug. I obviously can’t check battery like previous models of the phone. Any help would be appreciated I currently don’t even know if it’s going to turn back on its stuck on downloading firmware (for the past hour) please and thank you

Solution: If this issue has been occuring ever since you got the phone then there’s a possibility that this is already caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly the power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Freezes On Samsung Logo

Problem: Hello Droid Team I checked and tried all your really good organised advice on how to fix my freezing galaxy J7. But nothing is working. It suddenly turned off. Then I putted it on my charging station  and it showed the battery charging sign but it stayed on battery down and was not charging. After some hours I took it off the charger and tried to start. Then it shows the samsung logo and stopped. After that I tried all your advice but it only getting to samsung screen stopping there. It also don’t turns off. It just restart and gets frozen on samsung logo every time. I waited till battery was out and pushed buttons. But was nothing happening so I hoped now charging could work and to overcome freeze screen. But instead of loading screen it showed the samsung logo instantly again when I put it on the charger. I am out off options bc turning phone out seems not to work and restart is automatically to freeze screen. It just don’t enter the reset mode that way… Any way i can do something else? Would be really thankful for help.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to first make sure that the battery of your phone has sufficient charge. If necessary, connect the phone to its charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. You should also remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed.

Start the phone in recovery mode. From here you need to wipe the cache partition of the phone then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. Restart the phone once this is done.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Unable To Charge your Device Error

Problem: I have Samsung J7.  Today i tried to charge it but it gives me the error”unable to charge your device. Make sure you are using Samsung compatible battery and charger and that your device is properly connected to the charger”. This phone has never given me any problems before and it did not fall and i have not installed any new apps or games before this. This just happened. Pls help

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air as dirt or debris stuck in the port could be causing the problem. In case the issue still occurs then try restarting the phone then use a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone. You should also consider doing a factory reset to eliminate the possibility of this being caused by a software glitch.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Battery Is Overheating Error

Problem: My phone will not charge. It says that it can’t charge because the battery is overheating, but it isn’t. I tried doing a soft reset. Same thing. I powered on the phone and after about 3 seconds a box popped up that said the phone is overheating and will shut down. Then it shuts down. I’ve tried everything I’ve read about online, even had the battery replaced  charging port and charger. I’m lost.

Solution: If you are able to do a factory reset from the recovery mode then I suggest that you do it. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the issue persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. To pinpoint the exact component you will need to have the phone checked at a service center.

J7 Moisture Detected Error

Problem: Moisture has been detected notification on, never been wet charging port is fine, the moisture tab in the phone hasn’t been triggered, I have tried putting it in safe mode to no avail. Sometimes the phone will not turn on at all even with full charge. Putting the charging cable in and wiggling it around sometimes turns it on. I got these problems 6 months after purchasing the phone and was told by my carrier to get it sent to a Samsung technician but there is no Samsung techs in ireland and I can’t be without this phone and all the data on it. I also don’t have a computer to back it up as it broke a while ago and can’t afford to fix it or get a new one.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from moisture. Use a mini vacuum or a hair dryer to remove the presence of moisture in this port. In case the error persists then you should try doing a factory reset in recovery mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps doesn’t fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
