J7 Keeps On Getting Software Update Notification

Problem: Hello I have a J7 and I’m having the same issue as the other phones, where it says I have a software update to install I install it then I’m told I still have an update it install. I’ve already tried wiping the cache partition but it is still not fixed. Any tips to fix this?

Solution: If the notification that you are getting is a different software version then its best if you let the update proceed. If however it is the same software version then this is most likely caused by a software glitch. Since you have already tried wiping the cache partition of the phone and the issue still persists then the next best thing to do is a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

J7 Not Getting Software Updates

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 that I use with straight Talk with Verizon Towers used  . The phone has done everything I have needed in the past and as I work construction it is cheap enough to replace . My current phone is running on an older software version as it does not get any updates . I need the new software update to run my newly updated banking app. I have tried to update my phone thru update on the phone and I have tried thru smart switch , each time it says all available updates are installed .. I have plenty of storage for the update How can I force this to update Please

Solution: You can try to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete immediately check if any updates are available. If you are still unable to update the phone then you will need to force this update into your device by flashing an updated firmware file using Odin. You can get the latest firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website. This site will also have the instructions on how to flash your phone.

J7 Shuts Down On Its Own

Problem: Hi It’s over a year I have been using my J7 without major issues. Of recent it shuts down from time to time on it’s own and I have to do a soft reset before it turns on. SometImes it will just freeze and stop responding and I will have to  do a soft reset again .Now it’s hot here in the UAE and anytime I go outside the heat makes my phone to shut down and doesn’t power on again. I will restart the phone then only the Android logo appears on it with a notification not to interrupt the reboot or power off the device, but it will stay like that and never respond . Most often, when I charge the device,I will only come to discover that it was shot down and when it’s off it doesn’t continue charging.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to do a factory reset when the phone is turned on. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. In case it does then this is most likely a hardware related problem already. You will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Problem: Hi I’m locked on the reboot screen, but i don’t want to lose my data so I haven’t click on the factory reset option. I can’t backup the information because the phone won’t turn on and also my pc doesn’t recognize the device. Is there a way to keep or transfer the data from my phone before doing the factory reset? Please help me
