J7 Camera Fails To Launch

Problem: My camera fails at launch. I have tried the suggestions on your page and was able to use my camera for a day. Then I was only able to use in safe mode. I got an error msg camera server error, and it has not worked since. I notice when I pull down the quick settings menu the flashlight icon is highlighted light blue not the same color as the other icons that are highlighted . My phone says that it is up to date but when I go online there is a newer update available but the phone will not download it even with the otg cable connected to my laptop.

Related Problem: My camera is not working, it has been over 24 hours. I tried restarting the phone multiple times. I have also tried clearing the camera app cache and data. I have tried to use the camera app even on safe mode as well.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager. This way you can check if a corrupt data in the camera app is causing the problem. In case the issue still occurs after this and since you mentioned that it still does not work even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then its very likely that this is already caused by a faulty hardware component. If this is the case then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Camera Has Stopped Working

Problem: My phone has always been in good condition. Everything works on it great. But I woke up this morning and my back camera won’t work at all. I click on the camera app and it just says. “camera has stopped”. If I open snapchat my front camera will work. But it won’t even give me the option of changing it to my back camera. I’ve tried everything to try and fix. It I just did a factory reset on my whole phone and lost alot of stuff to try and fix it and it’s still doing the same thing. Please help me. I bought this phone out right and I don’t want to have to sell it or anything. I’ve tried everything I’ve read on the internet and my phones just nothing without my camera. My flashlight also doesn’t work now either, it started not working at the same time. Please get back to me asap as I’m losing my mind.

Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset which does not fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty camera assembly. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Camera Photos Are Corrupted

Problem: My camera allows me to take a picture but then shows an error for the picture. It’s a box with what looks like a mountain with a exclamation in a circle. Also it locks up and won’t let me get to review the photos. Not that there’s anything to see. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Solution: This issue usually happens if the default storage location of the camera is the microSD card. Try changing the default storage location to the internal storage of the phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then the microSD card that you are using has some corrupt sectors. The best thing you can do is to replace this card.

In case the issue occurs even when the default storage location of the photos is the internal storage then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
