J5 Not Turning On After Drop
Problem: I have a samsung galaxy J5 brand new but not even a week it dropped from my hand and the screen broke. when i tried turn it on nothing appears on the screen but i could actually the the speaker sound when it on but simply couldn’t use it. So i ordered a new screen . it takes about 6 months before i got the screen so the broken phone was on the shelf for that long with no battery on it because i removed the battery from it.When i receive the screen i put the screen on it fits well. but however when i tried turn it on it shows the logo screen and turn off immediately. I plug the charger the battery logo appears and shut off after 5 seconds. How can i fix this?
Solution: Since the phone has not been used for several months then it’s likely that the battery has fully drained. What you should do right now is to charge the phone ( if necessary use a different charging cord and wall charger) for at least 20 minutes. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. Once the phone charges then try turning it on.
In case the phone does not charge or turn on then you should try getting a new battery for the phone as this could be causing the problem.
In case the issue persists then I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.
J5 Battery Discharges Quickly Gets Very Hot
Problem: Hi, I have the Samsung Galaxy J5 , it’s a great phone. A couple of days ago, my phone started to discharge very quickly, and was getting hot even when not being used, but turned on. The heat was from the top of the phone, around the camera lens area, definitely not from the battery. Now, when I boot it up, all I get is a black screen, but the upper status bar is displaying normally. I have tried a soft reset by removing the battery for a couple of minutes, I have tried booting into safe mode, sometimes I get it to boot fully, and sometimes not. I have removed any recent app updates, and any recently downloaded apps too. I have managed to back it up using Smart Switch, so unless you have any ideas I could try, it looks like I will have to do a factory reset. HEEEEELP!
Solution: I recommend that you proceed with the factory reset. If your phone has a microSD card installed then you should remove this first before checking if the issue still occurs. If the problem persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J5 Turns Off Randomly
Problem: Hi, Although I had 40% battery left my phone decided to turn itself off whilst I was texting. I have tried to reboot the phone by holding the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds but nothing. Is there any other option? Thanks
Solution: Try charging your phone for at least 20 minutes as the problem could be caused by a drained battery. With the phone still connected to the charger try turning it on. In case it does not turn on then you should have this checked at a service center as this is most likely a hardware related problem already.
