J3 Not Recognizing SIM Card

Problem: My Samsung J3 is not recognizing its SIM Cards, since I have a dual Sim card Phone. I tried most of the suggested, actions in order to reboot, I also tried the last resort of having set it to Factory setting still I get no signal from the two separate providers. non of the two cards is being recognized, any solution please appreciate your help. Regards.

Solution: Just to make sure that it is not your SIM card that is faulty try getting a SIM card that is known to work on another phone then insert it in your device. If the error message still occurs then this is already most likely caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly the SIM card reader of the phone. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 SIM Card Won’t Allow Calls

Problem: My sim card on my samsung J3 wont allowed me to make a call or received a call.. its already 3 day this problem occur.. before this problem happens all things work perfectly.. at that day im trying to use an internet connection using my sim at put it onto broadband.. but the broadband holder was register with different coverage.. so i try to change the connection and find whether its can connect with my line.. i try many time but it still cant connect.. then i bring out my sim card and insert it back to my phone.. then after that this problem occur.. i can’t make any call or receive any call anymore.. what should i do.. i already try the safe mode and follow the step to fix this problem.. i already reset factory and reset my internet connection but still doesn’t change anything..

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by the SIM card. Remove the SIM from your phone and insert it in another phone. Are you able to make a call? If not then confirm with your carrier if you have an active call subscription on your account. You might also need to replace your current SIM card if it is found out to to faulty.

If you are able to make a call with your SIM card inserted in another phone then the problem is most likely caused by your device Since you have already performed a factory reset which does not fix the problem then the best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Calls Get Disconnected

Problem: Both sides of conversation intermittently warbled. Sometimes I have to make a call five times before it stops disconnecting itself before a connection is made. Worst reception is inside my house–sometimes if I walk outside for about 500 feet, I can get reception and keep it when I re-enter the house. My other family members are on AT&T with Apple devices, with no issues. AT&T says they don’t know why it’s not working properly.

Solution: What you need to do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this, just follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a third party app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Do not install any apps in your phone after doing the reset. Try checking first if the issue still occurs.

Another possibility as to why this issue is occurring is if the phone can’t get a good signal in your area. Try to check if the problem only occurs in your home or if it also occurs in other areas. If it is only in your home then the phone antenna might not be strong enough to get a good signal.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
