Related Problem: I have a samsung galaxy A7 that i dropped and right after i picked it up the screen glitched i thought maybe i just had to restart it so i did but then after the screen went black everything else still works it turns on i get messages but the screen stays black ive tried to reset it and restart but nothing works the screen just stays back. Please let me know anything you think i can do to fix it thank you.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode.
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold Volume Up + Home button + Power button for a couple of seconds.
- Release these keys when the recovery mode menu will be displayed on your Galaxy A7
If the screen works in this mode then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a software glitch. You will then need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In the screen still remains black even in recovery mode then this could already be caused by a faulty display assembly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
A7 Screen Display Color Is Faded
Problem: Hi Just bought a NEW unlocked Galaxy A7 Phone to replace my 2 year old phone. Some info: (will be used on At&t, but not an At&t phone… not branded apparently)
Upon powering up. Immediately issues started: Note: when turned on. Battery had 57% from factory. 1. Display color is very faded…almost looks black and white when looking at thumbnails for pictures. Looks all over internet. Can not seem to find anyway to increase the color saturation. This is a display thing, in all modes. Phone is current set to Adaptive, but the other modes don’t change anything. 2. Camera: would kick out of camera mode after taking 1 picture.. Did this 3 times. On the 4th attempt, the system went completely dead… would not power back on. did a soft reset , put on charger… was able to power on…. still at 41% 3. Power: at one point system went from 56% to 14% in about 5 to 10 minutes, and front screen felt quite warm. Put on charger…say at 14%… 3 minutes later, came back…. I am back 41% again???? 4. Speed: just noticed that just flipping through my old picture, that were on the micro SD, transferred from my other camera… Sometimes taking up to 5 seconds just flip from one picture to another…. This problem has seemed reduce after I had it on the charger for a while. I was trying to check if an update was needed: Went to “about Device”– software updates —Update Now… Get message “Software Update”.. below “Process Failed” ok?I am at a loss…. contacted the reseller…nothing back yet (ebay). Thoughts
Solution: It appears that the phone has some faulty component which is causing the problem. The best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely a hardware related problem already. You should ask for a replacement device or have the phone fixed at a service center.
A7 Screen Has Green Line
Problem: Hi there! I use samsung A7. I use it for almost 7 months.it suddenly start a glitch without any falling down or screen is pressed. A green line appears on right side of the edge. When it is heated or used for a while the line become prominent and on cooling down the line disappears. It used to be minor line but with passage of time it become a bit double. I am worried please give me proper info should i change it or the line will be same as it is. Will the line spread from where it is as it’s not fallen down or screen is pressed.
Solution: The first thing you should do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this just check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the problem is most likely caused by a third party app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue still occur even in Safe Mode then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Check if the green line is still present. If it is then this is most likely caused by a faulty display assembly. If the line gets bigger over time then you should consider having the display assembly of the phone replaced at a service center.
