Galaxy A3 Gets Hot Battery Drains Fast

Problem: Hi, my galaxy A3  battery drains really fast.  I recently had a new battery installed, and it didn’t fix the problem.  And the phone is getting really hot too. I always kill apps running in the background.  I don’t sync anything, and I am just experiencing this problem since I left my phone in the car, and it got really hot.  That’s why I got a new battery, thinking I ruined the battery by leaving it in the car. but i’m still having the problem.  i’ll charge it up .100%, and not have anything running in the background, no sync anywhere, and it will still drain down in an hour or so.   i’ve had this phone for a few months now, and never had a problem with it. Please help.

Solution: It’s safe to assume right now that the problem is not caused by the battery since you already had a new one installed. What you should do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Remove the microSD card of the phone ( if you have one installed) then start the device in recovery mode. From here you should wipe the cache partition of the phone then follow this up with a factory reset. Restart the phone then do not install any apps yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could be caused by a faulty hardware component that is possibly causing a short circuit. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Galaxy A3 Home Button Power Button Not Working

Problem: Hi. A couple days ago my home button stopped working on my A3. So in order to get the screen to light up you need to tap the power button and then things work. If you open an app, in order to get to the home screen you have to use the bottom left button to close whatever is open to get to the home screen. I have tried starting in safe mode, updating all apps and phone, as well as clearing the cache on initial start-up. Also, the power button will not turn the phone off. If you hold the power button in, it will only light up the screen. A soft reset must be performed to restart the phone. To my knowledge, the phone hasn’t experienced any trauma outside of the ordinary. Very odd. Just trying to see if I can fix it before I buy another. Seems simple buy yet, complicated and taking way to much time. Thanks.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset from the recovery mode.If the problem still occurs after the reset then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already. The home button and power button of the phone might need to be replaced. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Galaxy A3 Keeps On Restarting To Samsung Logo

Problem: Hi there!  I hope you have an answer to my problem.  A few weeks ago, my phone (galaxy A3 ) started turning itself off and then on again.  I also kept getting things saying “google has stopped, facebook has stopped, galaxy has stopped, etc.  Well this morning, It shut itself off and on, but it is stuck in the startup where it says Samsung Galaxy A3.  It will not start all the way. I did a soft reset , remove sim, and storage cards, and replaced them and have the same result.  I plugged it in charger…same thing. I tried some things I found on-line such as holding the power, volume, and home buttons….no luck.

Solution: Try checking if a software glitch is causing the problem by starting the phone in recovery mode then wiping the cache partition of the device. Follow this up with a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

In case the issue still persists then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Galaxy A3 Screen Is Black

Problem: My phone galaxy A3 went black, it is now showing a faint screen with three separate shields on the top half inch of the screen, nothing in the middle and three separate boxes at the bottom inch of the phone, very faint, with the number 3 in each box with a line crossing from the top right through the middle down to the bottom left of the number 3. Not sure if it will charge, cannot tell, it is on now.

Solution: It looks like the problem is already caused by a faulty display assembly. To check if this is the case you will have to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then this could just be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the screen issue still persists even in recovery mode then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
