Solved LG V20 Screen Has White Lines

Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the LG V20 screen has white lines issue and other related problems.

LG V20 Screen Has White Lines
Problem: Hi, My LG V20 just started having issues with its screen. One morning I went to dismiss an alarm, but upon dismissing the alarm white lines appeared on the screen. I have already had the phone apart (taking out the screws, mobo, etc.) to see if I could see any obvious issues but to no avail. Since I had it out I cleaned everything, put it back together, and was surprised to find no white lines when the LG logo and the powered by ANDROID screen came up. This is followed by the Sprint logo but as soon as the Sprint logo appears the white lines come back, and the phone is unusable (the touchscreen won’t work and you can’t see anything on the display). The phone has never been in a situation where water damage might have happened, but it has been dropped three times (these were less than 2ft. off the ground over carpet).Hope this is detailed enough
Solution: The problem is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already, possibly the display. If you are able to do a factory reset in recovery mode then I suggest that you do so. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If this does not fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG V20 Screen Turns Purple Black
Problem: My mobile display have gotten from purple to dark black since the issue took uprise ..it all started from power button side with a circular ring of purple colour around it which then have taken over my entire mobile screen . in the beginning it was in purple colour but now since a day has passed it has started to go down to.becoming full black .. Pls pls help as I don’t want to trust the mobile repairers in Pakistan as I bought my mobile from Dubai and unfortunately my warranty has ended prior 1 month to this issue
Solution: There’s a possibility that the display of your phone is damaged already. The best troubleshooting step that you can do is to start the phone in recovery mode. If you can access this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. If this doesn’t work then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG V20 Screen Wallpaper Gets Distorted
Problem: Today, July 21st, 2018, my phone kinda freaked out when it came to my Lock and Home screens. The photos that I had there went, for lack of a better word, poof, and I cannot get them back. Not sure what happened there, but I have lots of photos, I will survive if I need to upload a new one. However, when I do this I cannot accurately size the photo I choose for the respective wallpaper, as it is distorted, and when I try to crop it will not let me widen, only lengthen, and that does not let the entire photo in. I have tried everything I could think of, and some stuff I found on the web, and nothing worked. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Solution: You need to have a wallpaper with the size of 1440 x 2560 pixels so that it will fit perfectly on the phone screen. You can get wallpapers of this size by doing a Google search.
LG V20 Wrong Replacement Screen
Problem: I Have a problem with my LG V20! My LCD was broken and i have tried to change it but i bought a different series! When i change it it appears a black screen ! is there any solutions to make it compatible ! thanks in advance.
Solution: Unfortunately you won’t be able to use the display you purchased on your phone. You should get the correct display assembly for your device.
