LG G6 Will Not Charge Using Wall Charger

Problem: I have had my phone for about a year and I just got my new one maybe 3 months ago. I haven’t used the LG since I got it but about a month ago I wanted to sell it and got it to turn on. Now, it won’t charge and occasionally when i press the power button it will show me the LG start up page but then it will say 0% charge more before turning on but then it won’t charge. I’ve tried different chargers and it still won’t do it. I’ve connected it to my computer and it won’t recognize that there is a device attached. I’ve gotten it up to 21% but it won’t turn on. Now it will go up to 3% and still won’t turn on. Also, I am not sure what android version i have on the phone.

Related Problem: My phone is a galaxy G6 and it won´t turn on, the charging sign keeps flashing but it never gets to the percentage of charge, and I tried pressing the volume (-) button and the on button for 10 seconds but it won´t work.

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris present in the port is removed. Once the port is clean try charging the phone using a wall charger. In case it doesn’t charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. When the battery of the phone has sufficient charge do a soft reset by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 12 seconds. If the phone still does not turn on then try starting it in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

LG G6 Not Turning On After Getting Wet

Problem: Hello I have an LG G6 that spent a night out in the rain I did not find my phone until the next day i tried to turn on and there was nothing so i put it in rice for 3 to 4 days it will not turn on I have tried all the things to reset as far as holding volume and power button and what not. If I plug the phone into the charger the little green light on the top of my phone comes on but nothing else. I just want my photos back can u help

Related Problem: I’d like to ask about my LG G6. The phone has been dropped into the water and has been also rested for quite long time not in used. The phone itself can only turn on when it is plugged in to the charger, for though you can’t almost see the display is running. When plug off the phone goes dead straight away. What could it be according to my issue? Please help me out of the issue. Thank you very much in advance

Solution: If you have already tried placing the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours yet the issue still persists then there’s a chance that the phone has suffered from water damage. This will usually occur if the water seal of the phone has been broken. The best thing to do right now to recover the data stored in the phone is to have the device repaired at a service center.

LG G6 Battery Drains Quickly

Problem: My phone took all day to charge to 100%  Lately it has been draining quickly and saying it’s at 100% and when I unplug it it quickly goes to 98%   I tried putting it in safe mode and nothing changed.

Solution: Try checking if the problem is caused by a software glitch by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. You should charge the phone first until it reaches 100% then check if the battery still drains quickly. If it does then it’s likely that the battery will need to be replaced.
