Google Pixel 2 Will Not Power On

Problem: My Google pixel 2 will not power on. It turned itself off with about 65 percent battery and will not power on. I let it charge for a few hours with the original charger in a known working outlet. Nothing comes on the screen while plugged in. I’ve tried restarting and restarting in safe mode, nothing comes up in the screen. When holding down the power button a line will flash randomly on different parts of the screen. It does not vibrate or make any sound. I cannot get a computer to recognize it is plugged in. I already warrantied the phone but there are pictures saved to the phone itself I need to get back. Any other ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!

Solution: The only way you will be able to retrieve the photos in your phone is if you can turn on the phone. Try performing the troubleshooting steps listed below which is aimed to fix this particular problem.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger.
  • If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
  • Once the battery has sufficient charge try turning on the phone.

In case the phone does not charge or turn on then this problem might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center.

Google Pixel 2 Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: I have an Pixel 2.  It fell on a carpeted floor at work and now the fingerprint recognition won’t work and I can’t turn it off.  I read through the fingerprint instructions, deleted all fingerprints and tried to redo my fingerprint. It would not let me, saying it had failed.  I then read if you do a soft reset that will often fix the problem. Now the phone won’t turn on at all. Please help.

Solution: It’s very likely that the drop might have damaged some component inside the phone and is causing this problem right now. The best thing that you can do is to check if the problem is caused by a battery that does not have sufficient charge. Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air then charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger that is known to work. Once this is done try turning on the phone. If it still does not turn on then you will need to have this checked at a service center.

Google Pixel 2 No Display But Notifications Are Working

Problem: I accidentally inserted the SIM ejector pin in the microphone hole on a brand new Pixel 2.The screen went white. It has no display and does not respond to the On/Off button. Unable to perform a factory reset with a combination of Vol,On/Off & Bixby buttons.I do feel a vibration and the phone rings when I insert a SIM and call the number. What hardware damage did I cause? The phone charges normally and the red & green charge lights come on. Thank You

Solution: It looks like you might have shorted a component inside the phone, possibly the display or one of the display components. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Google Pixel 2 Has Black Screen

Problem: My phone is just showing black screen. I think this happened after I used NFC, it has 80% when it happened, my phone just died. I tried to charge it using a wireless charger, and the original charger. Not responding to any charger. I already tried to reboot it by holding the power button for like 3 minutes. What should I do?

Solution: If the phone is not responding to any charger or charging cord and you have already tried doing a soft reset then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
