How To Set A Personal Ringtone To A Contact In Samsung Galaxy
There may be times that you may find it convenient if a certain contact has its own unique ringtone for easier identification. Well, you can easily do that. This tutorial will show you how to set a personal ringtone to a particular contact in your Samsung device.
If you don’t want to use one of the default ringtones, you can load a music file to your Samsung Galaxy device and use it as a ringtone. To copy a music file from your PC to your Samsung, follow this post.
You won’t be able to use downloaded music or songs from streaming apps like Spotify. Although downloaded files may be saved temporarily in your device, streaming services have limited terms and conditions that restrict songs from being used by a user for say, as a ringtone.
If you intend on using a certain audio file or music as a personal ringtone, make sure that you download it as a separate music file to your Samsung Galaxy device first.
Set a personal ringtone to a contact

Giving a particular contact your preferred ringtone is easy. Follow the steps below on how to do this.
<strong>Open Contacts app.</strong>
Find Contacts app in Home screen or Apps tray.
<strong>Select the contact.</strong>
Tap on the certain contact that you want to assign a personal ringtone to.
<strong>Tap Details. </strong>
If you do not see this screen, go to step 4.
<strong>Tap Edit.</strong>
Select Edit at the bottom.
<strong>Select View More.</strong>
If you do not see this screen, skip to step 6.
<strong>Select Ringtone.</strong>
Scroll down and find Ringtone.
<strong>Add a ringtone.</strong>
Pick the app that you want to use to find the music file.
<strong>Pick the audio file to use as ringtone.</strong>
Tap the + sign at the upper right corner.
<strong>Tap Sound picker.</strong>
Select Sound picker
<strong>Select your ringtone.</strong>
Pick the music file or default ringtone to use as personal ringtone to a contact.
<strong>Tap Done.</strong>
Tap Done at the upper right.
<strong>Save the action.</strong>
Tap Save at the bottom.
