S6 Purple Flickering On Screen After Drop

Problem: Hi well I was walking on the street and of course my phone was in my pocket so I try to get it out and it slipped out my hands and there’s no damages little scratches, no dents or anything cause of my case but later that day I turn my phone on and It flickered a stripe or bar, and then I tried to turn my brightness down and a big bar of purple starts to flicker and I tried powering it off but when I turn it on it stays black until I press the power button few times, and again it flickers a stripe or bar then turns on but one of the time i powered it off and on a big like gray static screen starts and my phone turns on, no water damage no dents on the phone itself , but please help and thank you

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the issue is caused by some form of software glitch. Start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen does not have any issues in this mode then you will have to perform a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case the issue still persists even in recovery mode then the drop might have damaged the display assembly of the phone. You will then need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Call Can’t Be Heard When On Speakerphone

Problem: My only issue is when I put the phone on speaker in the process of a call, I can hear people well but they never hear me.. And it is really annoying because it’s not every time I want to put the phone to my ear. Pls help. Thank you.

Solution: It’s very likely that this could be caused by a faulty microphone ( the top part is activated when the speakerphone is used). What you will want to do though is to first check if the problem is caused by some software glitch. Backup your phone data and then do a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still persists then you will need to have the microphone checked at a service center.

S6 Blank Screen LED Light Is On

Problem: S6 Active. Blank screen. Charger hooked up 24 hrs, wrapped in a towel and case is warm. I got a power light in the upper left of phone. Tried all the force power techniques. Nothing so far.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. In case it doesn’t then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes. If the phone does not charge try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
  • Turn on the phone.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Enough Memory Error

Problem: My samsung galaxy s6 says it doesn’t have enough memory but when checking available space its enough. I only played 2 songs , no apps but still it keeps on saying no enough memory, create some space. How do I solve this?

Solution: Sometimes restarting the phone will fix this particular problem. In case the issue persists then start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if you still get the same error message when in this mode. If the error does not occur then it could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then the best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Gets Hot Touchscreen Not Working After Getting Wet

Problem: Hello My samsung s6 got wet in heavy rain fall. Now it’s getting hot from power button portion. And the touch buttons are not working neither they are putting up on light on touching them.. are they replaceable or repairable?

Solution: The best troubleshooting that you can do right now is to make sure that the phone is dry. Wipe the external part of the phone using a dry cloth. Since t is most likely that moisture has entered the device you should place phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. In case any part has been water damaged then this can be easily replaced.

S6 Screen Is Black Freezes On Samsung Logo

Problem: I Have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. The screen is black but when it comes on it freezes on the Samsung page. When I shut it down, it is black with a battery picture. I can’t get it to come one. What do I do?

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

In case this doesn’t fix the problem then you should consider flashing the phone with its updated firmware file. You can get the firmware file from the Sammobile website. This is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Cannot Complete Update

Problem: when updating, download completes, then reboots applying update. gets to 25% then freezes, saying it cannot complete update. that’s it. I’ve tried removing tons of apps, going into system and clearing cache. no dice.

Solution: Try installing the update using Smart Switch. If this doesn’t work then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset perform the update again.
