Problem: Samsung S6 Edge Model G925FZDABTU Phone:35642107587 The phone goes through the process and at the end of install process it give a message “fail to install software and fail to install firmware.  I arranged for samsung tech support but for some reason the technician could not establish remote control access to the phone. He advised me to go access a better internet WiFi which I did but the process at the site ended up with same message. I think this rules out my WiFi at home.  I went to a Samsung shop in center of Bradford. They said latest software can be installed but asked me pay £120.00. As there is so much support available online can this be sorted without having to pay please.

Related Problem: style=”font-weight: 400;”> When downloading an update for the last 6 months, a firmware update, my phone tells me failed to update firmware and that I should go to a Samsung centre. I’ve been unable to download this single update for the last 6 months if not longer.

Related Problem: S6 edge says I have a update for new security features. I can download it and when I go to install the update it installs up to 30 percent and then stops. It’s been doing this since the update came thru. When the phone finally reboots it say “update failed. Please visit samsung service center”. How do I fix this?

Solution: If the software update successfully downloads but does not install in your phone then try to perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • There are cases when the internal storage of the phone is not enough for the update to install. To check if this is the case try to delete any unnecessary files from the phone. Uninstall any apps that you don’t normally use. Sometimes as much as 5GB of free internal storage space is needed to install an update.
  • If the issue still persists even after freeing up some space then I recommend that you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to update your phone software then you should consider manually flashing the firmware file to your phone. You can download the firmware file of your device from the Sammobile website. You will also get instructions on how to flash your phone from this website.

  • Check if your phone has sufficient internal storage space. It’s best if you free up at least 5GB of space by deleting unnecessary files or uninstalling apps that you don’t regularly use. Check for the update again.

S6 Edge Call Details Missing After Software Upgrade

Problem: Hi I hope you can help. I performed an upgrade last week. Since then my recents wont load and I can’t view details of my call if I leave the page for any reason and try to return. I took a screenshot of my phone details. But I can’t paste it here… i think my phone is marshmallow. If i leave this page i might lose what i have typed. Solution: If this problem occured right after a software upgrade then it’s possible that it is caused by some form of old software data that has not been completely removed. This old data is causing a conflict with the new software version resulting in this issue. What you need to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset to fix the problem.

S6 Edge Music Randomly Pauses

Problem: My music randomly pauses for no reason. Sometimes every 5 minutes or 3 hours and ive fully formatted and issue still persists

Solution: Are you playing music files that are locally stored in your phone or are you streaming the music from Spotify for example?

If you are playing the music that are locally stored in your phone then try to copy a new music file to your device. Make sure to play this music file in your computer first and check that there are no issues when playing the file. Play this music file on your phone. If the issue still persists then this could be caused by a software glitch. Try using a different music player app. If this doesn’t work then you should consider flashing your phone with a different firmware version.

If you are streaming the music from Spotify for example then try to check your Wi-Fi connection as this might be causing the problem.
