J7 Replacement Screen Not Working
Problem: Hii, This is related with my Samsung SM-J700F/DD. Unfortunately it get dropped in to the water, i dry it in direct sunlight but it had not get started, then i show it on Samsung Service center to get repaired but they said water get inside & touch screen also get finished with some other components & suggest me not to put money for repair as it is not repairable. My friend suggest me one local mobile center to get it repaired, they had taken 3000/- Rs. for cleaning the water from components & for changing the touch screen (its a duplicate touch screen bcoz they said original is of around 5500/- Rs) Few days my phone worked well & now touch screen display is gone & suddenly it appears & then again get disappear. I get to that local service center again they told me its a thick screen in compare to original one & due to some pressure on it was doing like this, otherwise phone is working normally. Can you plz help me with some solution. Regards.
Solution: Since this is just a replacement screen then there is no guarantee that it will work properly on your device. The fact that its dimensions are not the same as the original screen increases the chance that it will fail to work properly. The best thing that you should do right now is to have the display replaced with the original display meant for this device.
J7 Unfortunately App Has Stopped Working
Problem: Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy J7. For the past 24 hours, I’ve been getting the “unfortunately [app] has stopped” message in some apps. I tried turning it off and on, rebooting it like six times and it keeps happening. I thought it could be a memory related problem, so I tried and deleted lots of things, apps and videos and pictures and it still hasn’t stopped. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, it didn’t work. I tried deleting the cache, didn’t work. It occurred to me that maybe there was a problem with Google Play Services, so I deactivated it. Big mistake. Never do that. Here’s a list of the apps that show me that message: Google AskFm (ask.fm) Google Play Services PicsArt Photo Studio (PicsArt) BA Cómo Llego (Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) — This is an app that shows you how to move around Buenos Aires, the city where I live. ORT Secundario (ORT Argentina) — my school’s app, where I can check my grades. Every one of this apps is on Play Store. I also have Nova Launcher, could that be part of this issue? Thank you very much.
Solution: Try uninstalling the Nova Launcher from your phone then check if the same issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the following troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clear the cache and data of the apps affected by this issue from the application manager.
- Check if the same issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the application manager.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J7 Stops Streaming
Problem: Hello — I have a Samsung J7 that unexpectedly stops streaming for no apparent reason. Whether it’s an App from a large radio broadcaster or using (Free Adblock Browser) a streaming site to access my local radio stations broadcast, it plays for a while (5-20 minutes — variable) then suddenly stops. Most of the time there’s no indication of a problem or that it has stopped; sometimes it will be spinning labeled “Buffering”, but reloading the page immediately connects. Happens both on WiFi and carrier (usually I use carrier as it’s more secure and uses less battery). Tried your soft reset — same thing.
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to make sure that the power saving mode of the phone is not activated. From a Home screen tap on the Apps icon then go to Settings then Battery. Make sure that the power saving mode is turned off.
In case it is off and the issue still occurs then proceed with the steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it does then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J7 Freezes Then Restarts
Problem: Phone has a history of freezing and shutting off, regardless of battery percentage. Sometimes it restarts automatically, sometimes I have to wait anywhere from a few minutes to a day to turn it back on. There are about 3 different ways it may freeze before it turns off. This time, it turned off nearly four days ago and was unresponsive since to charging, or any other method. I believe I tried every trick offered and received no results at all. Should I still have hope?
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then you should try removing it. Once removed I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is already a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Not Turning On
Problem: My samsung j7 just turned off all of a sudden.I tried to turn it on but it is not turning on.I tried to force restart, perform visual inspection to check for water, tried charging it and booting it but none of them were successful.so what should i do next?
Solution: The best thing that you should do right now is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge the phone using its wall charger.
- If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check If the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
