Note 4 Text Message In Wrong Order

Problem: I receive a text; when I answer my text goes above the person text…which is just really annoying to me… is there a fix to get my text to come after the person who sent me a text text? Thanks.

Solution: One common fix for this type of issue is to set the time and date of your phone to automatic while unchecking the automatic time zone. Settings -> Date and Time -> Uncheck Automatic Time Zone / Check Automatic Date & Time.

If the problem persists then wipe the cache partition of your phone.

  • Turn the device off.
  • Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.
  • When the phone vibrates, release the Power and Home key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key.
  • Continue holding the Volume Up key until the Android System Recovery menu displays and then release. This step may take several seconds.
  • Press the Volume Down key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select.
  • When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

Note 4 No Sound Notification On Group Text Messages

Problem: When I get group text messages, I don’t get an alert. I don’t check my phone very often and my family loves group texting so I will be hours behind on conversations we’re all supposed to be having. When I go to open the messages, it’ll tell me I need to download them like a media attachment and then display text. It’s such a drag!

Solution:  Try to check on your phone sound settings and make sure that it isn’t muted. You should also try to pick a new notification tone for your text messages and see if this does the trick.

To verify if this issue is caused by conflicts between apps (such as two messaging apps) you should start your phone in Safe Mode.

  • Turn the device off.
  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key.
  • Release the Power key when the Samsung logo appears but continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
  • Safe mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  • Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode.

If the problem does not occur in this mode then uninstall any third party messaging app that is in your phone.

Note 4 No Option To Reject Link In Text Message

Problem: When I receive text messages, if there is a link included, it does not give me the option to reject the link.

Solution: If you are using the stock messaging app then the links will show in the text message. If you don’t want to open the link then jut avoid clicking on it.

For a more permanent solution you may have to try out some of the third party messaging apps available at the Google Play Store and see if they have the ability to block out links.

Note 4 Cannot Respond To Group Message Of More Than 10 People

Problem: I have a group of people who text me as one of 17 recipients. I cannot respond in a text to more than 10 people, so I can’t respond to the group of 18.

Solution: I’m assuming you are using the stock messaging app of your phone. Several other people have also complained about this and unfortunately it seems that the maximum number of participants that the app supports is 10. On solution to this problem is to use the Hangouts app which I’m sure your phone has already. This app supports more than 10 participants in a group message.

Note 4 MMS Downloading Issue

Problem: recently switched from IPhone and now when I receive MMS messages it says downloading. I figured that the problem usually occurs when a iPhone user is sending me the message. Please help I’m desperate!!!!!

Solution: Try to restart your phone first as this resets your phone connection to the network. When your phone is powered on make sure to turn on the mobile data switch and make sure that your account has a mobile data subscription.

If the issue still persists then proceed with checking your phone APN settings. This must match the APN settings of your carrier. For a list of your carrier APN setting try to visit their website or contact their technical support hotline.

  • From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Scroll to ‘NETWORK CONNECTIONS,’ then tap More networks.
  • Tap Mobile networks.
  • Tap Access Point Names.
  • Verify and update if necessary the settings for the Data APN.

You should also consider wiping the cache partition of your phone as this issue may also be caused by corrupt temporary data.

  2. My note 4 only allows me to send 2 pics at a time. It’s not a huge deal, but coming from a iphone, it’s a little annoying, especially since i have a 1 year old, and im sending a lot of pics. Is there anyway to fix this..???

  3. I tried all procedures mention here step by step on how to get the messenger to download files received from iphones. But nothing work until I decided to try a few different apps for messenger, until I came across the Verizon messenger rated at 4.7, I’m so
happy because this one solved the issue for good. After disabling the others messengers apps my note 4 is back on business. So go to your Google play store and get the VZ Verizon app, follow installation procedure and get a rich colorful messenger that’ll do everything you need
