Solution: What you need to do in this particular case is to try forget your home Wi-Fi connection from your phone then restart the device. Once the phone has turned on try connecting to your home Wi-Fi again.
If the issue still persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if you are able to connect to your Wi-Fi. If you are able to then the problem might be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of the phone.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should consider checking the settings of your router as it might be preventing your phone from connecting to it.
J3 Randomly Shuts Off
Problem: Hello, Android: So I have been experiencing some problems with my Galaxy J3 phone. I’ve been through one battery before the battery I am currently using. The first battery would run well the first 60% of battery life, but once it got to about 30%, the touch screen would glitch and start pressing on apps or options I did not voluntarily choose as if a ghost were using my phone. I bought a replacement battery and it was running well for a month until I started experiencing another problem: the phone randomly shuts off, even at 90% of battery life. I tried running “safe mode” and deleting app caches but the problem still persists. Not only does the phone shut off on its own, while i’m leaving it by itself after it turns off, it consistently keeps vibrating and displaying the “Samsung Galaxy J3: Powered by android” screen that appears when your phone shuts off. However, while i’m charging the phone it works 100% fine without error. Is there any solutions I can try or should I purchase another battery?
Solution: You should try performing a factory reset on your phone to eliminate the possibility of this being caused by a software glitch. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
In case the above steps fail then this issue could either be caused by a faulty battery or faulty power IC. Try using another battery on your phone and if the issue still occurs then you will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked as this could already be cause by a faulty power IC.
J3 Not Showing Wi-Fi Login Page
Problem: I go to coffee shop every morning and there is open wifi that I use to connect to with old phone. When you connect to it a page comes up where you have to accept their policy, click it and ok and brings up their home page and you can surf from there. I just got a Samsung J3 2017 and i cant connect to it. It does not connect to there sign in. Help would be appreciated
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone then connect to it again. If the login page does not show then try opening your phone browser. Usually you will be redirected to the Wi-Fi login page. If this does not happen then ty typing 192.168.1.1 on the address bar of the browser. This is the most common default router IP address and should open the login page.
In case the issue persists you should try to contact the system administrator of the Wi-Fi connection and have them check why your phone can’t login to their network.
J3 Blue Line Appears On Screen
Problem: My j3 Samsung android has connected to network but has unavailable wifi connection I can’t seem to be able to reconnect now and since that problem I let a friend try to fix this problem but now I have another problem that is more annoying than the first problem can you please help me with my problems on my cell phone please and thanks oh I forgot to mention that the 2nd problem is that a continuous blue line floats and hovers from place to place on the screen now
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode then verify if any of the issues you are experiencing with the phone still occurs. If the phone appears to work normally now then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Restarting And Freezing
Problem: hello i bought my samsung galaxy j3 2016 a year ago without any problem till couple days ago when it started to suddenly restarting and freezing constantly and when it’s freezing my screen become colorful like sometimes red , green , colorful and i can’t do anything but restarting by holding power , home and volume buttons and 90 percent of the time even restarting isn’t working because it freezes during restarting so i have to do restart again and again till it works or remove battery ,i tried to do a factory reset , removing sim or using airplane mode but nothing is working i really need your help guys and thank you
Solution: If a factory reset does not fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related problem already. The best thing that you will need to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Not Recognizing SD Card
Problem: My phone no longer recognizes my SD card … which is chock full of images and videos, so I don’t want to format it. Problem started a couple weeks ago. Sim card icon appears in upper left hand of screen: “Unsupported SD Card: This device doesn’t support this SD card. Touch to set up in a supported format.” I already powered down, removed battery & SD card, then pressed pwr button for over a minute. Also did a soft reset. Phone still won’t ‘see’ the SD card. Help!
Solution: You should try removing the microSD card from your phone then let your computer read it. You will need a card reader to perform this action. If your computer is unable to read the card then it is most likely corrupted already and the data stored in it is as good a lost. If however the computer can detect the microSD card and its contents then I suggest that you backup the data stored in the card. Once this is done do not use this card anymore instead get a new microSD card for your phone.
