Troubleshooting Galaxy A50 that’s running slow

Performance issues are very annoying but they’re not necessarily hard to fix. In fact, for this problem, you may be able to fix it on your own by doing one or two of the procedures in this post. That said, here are the things you need to do:

First solution: Run your phone in Safe mode

The first thing that you have to do if your phone is running slow is to restart it in safe mode. This will temporarily disable all third-party applications and will tell you immediately if one of them is causing the problem. If your device runs normally while in safe mode, then it means that one of the apps you downloaded, or some of them, is causing the problem. If that’s the case, then this problem is pretty easy to fix. Now, here’s how your restart your phone in safe mode:

  1. Press and hold the Power key until options show.
  2. Tap and hold the Power off option until it changes into Safe Mode.
  3. Tap the Safe mode icon to restart your device.
  4. Once the reboot is successful, you should see ‘Safe mode’ at the lower-left corner of the screen.

Assuming that the device is doing while in this mode, then follow these steps to probe further:

  1. Restart your phone normal to boot into standard mode.
  2. Remember the apps you installed about the time when the phone started to run slow.
  3. Once you already have an app in mind, swipe down from the top of the screen to pull the notification panel down.
  4. Tap the Settings icon on the upper-right corner.
  5. Scroll to and then tap Apps.
  6. Find and tap suspected app.
  7. Tap Storage.
  8. Touch Clear data and tap OK to confirm.
  9. Tap the back key once and then touch Uninstall.
  10. Confirm that you want to remove the app from your phone.

On the other hand, if the phone is still running slow after this, then move on to the next procedure.
